I’m waiting to receive my first Cricut, and want to be ready with accessories- what is this knife used for?

This is not a Cricut machine accessory. This is a general craft knife made by Cricut.

Can you use this to cut HTV with stencils?

I use them to weed from my Cricut cuts on HTV. I do not use them to actually cut anything. The are very sharp.
