Is this suitable for assembling a non-synchronized dog-engagement manual transmission?

Yes, I'd say that this stuff would work great for any metal to metal assembly. You must be working on an antique tractor transmission? Ben is right though, gear oil is what I'd use for gears that will be in an oil bath anyways.

Does this lubricant work on shotguns in winter outdoor temperatures? I'll be appling it to metal/metal sliding surfaces.

Do a lot of shotgunning for ducks in Michigan's Upper Peninsula in sub-zero temps...we use CLP on EVERYTHING that can rust or needs lubing...we just make sure tool wipe off ALL of the access oil. Even though it looks/feels like there is no lube, it IS still there doing its job. This has worked for many different types of semi-auto shotguns in our group for many years now.

Le produit lui même me semble parfait pour remonter un moteur. L'huile adhère très bien aux surfaces, pas besoin d'en mettre des tonnes. On peut faire plusieurs moteurs sans problème. Le produit est visible une fois en place, on sait si on l'a mis ou pas. Le seul reproche c'est le bouchon verseur qui pourrait être plus pratique, là on a un système qui évite d'avoir un bouchon qui se balade mais c'est pas des plus pratique pour étaler du produit précisement.
