Excellent Travel Tripod
I will preface this review by saying that I have not used tripods much in my photography. I travel a lot and having the added weight and bulk of a tripod isn’t something I wanted. But that has now changed. I was immediately impressed by the PrimaPhoto Traveler Tripod's small and portable size and its carrying bag. The overall look and quality of the product is great- it is well made and easy to use. I ordered the one with red accents and I love the added splash of color. The leg adjustments are very easy to work and can be changed quickly with a 1/4 turn of the rubber ring, and the ability to lock them into five different positions adds a wonderful element of versatility. Even fully extended I found it to be sturdy. The rubber feet are great for both indoor and outdoor settings.I shoot with a mirrorless camera, so it is lighter weight, but I applied pressure to the top of the tripod when it was fully extended and everything stayed firmly locked in place. I’ve already used this tripod several times, including once for a large family photo, which turned out excellent, and also for some macro photography of flowers. The one thing I have had a slight difficulty with is attaching and detaching my camera. The clamp makes it relatively easy, but there have been a few times I wasn’t able to set up/remove my camera as quickly as I would have liked. I think this might be an issue that resolves itself as I become more familiar with the tripod through use.Overall I am thrilled with this product and excited for the many different ways I’ll be able to use it.

Well Built Travel Tripod
This is the travel tripod I've been looking for.I needed a travel tripod that was the right balance of weight, portability, and sturdiness. I have an industrial grade Manfrotto tripod for static use but it's not even close to being practical for travel. My other tripod is a Sunpak 7000TM which is okay for everyday use but is a foot longer closed and 1.5 lbs. heavier than this model. It's not the lightest travel tripod out there but it's very well built. Not a lightweight piece of junk. The body and legs are metalI have a Canon Vixia HFM41 video which is very front heavy with a wide angle lens attached. This travel tripod is sturdy enough to support the rig with good stability.Fully closed: 12.5", Fully extended: 55.5", Weight 2.85 lbs.I first saw this item at a big box retailer. I took a chance and bought a used product through an Amazon reseller for about 30% off retail. Very happy with the purchase. The product arrived on time and as advertised.

Sturdy for its size, ok price, not quick release.
Nice price, sturdy compared to others I have used (and garbaged). It is a nice tripod at a great price. The only drawback is that the quick release is not quick. The screw that holds the quick release part to the tripod top, protrudes too far out to allow the release of the camera. A flatter screw might fix this problem. I have not had this long enough to rate its durability.

Buy this tripod
This a perfect travel tripod, it’s a little over a foot long and super light considering how well built it is. I think I’ll use this a my primary and travel tripod.

Good compact and portable tripod.
A small tripod that I can rely on. I used this on my trip to Cambodia and I can say that the item works well. For extra stability I hooked my backpack at the bottom of the tripod. Portable and compact.

Unstable, unsturdy, trash!
I had gotten this tripod as a travel tripod, however unlike the solid metal the black one of these (bought in past but lost the mount) the silver one seems to be made of plastic. The adjustable legs won’t stay and is so light that it won’t support anything heavier than a cell phone. The black one was able to hold a DSLR so I thought the silver one would too, however, boy was I wrong. The plastic ball mount snapped and my camera went tumbling along with this tripod. Thank goodness my camera landed on cushioned material, otherwise saving a few hundred on a small travel tripod would have cost me thousands for a new camera.
