Wet your sponge and squeeze excess water out. Squash the sponge between your fingers and insert it into your vagina, pushing it in until it feels comfortable and securely in place. Every 3-4 hours, remove your sponge by gently pinching a large portion and gently pulling out (bearing down lightly might help push the tampon down for easier retrieval). Rinse thoroughly, squeeze out excess water and reinsert. To clean: Do not boil! This will toughen and deteriorate them! Our recommendations are to soak in any of these solutions for 15 minutes or more:1 tsp. colloidal silver mixed in 1 cup of warm water.1 Tbsp. baking soda mixed in 1 cup of warm water.2 Tbsp. hydrogen peroxide mixed in 1 cup of warm water.2 drops of tea tree oil mixed in 1 cup of warm water. 1 tsp. of sea salt mixed in 1 cup of warm water.Another wonderful sanitizer and bleacher is sunlight. Make sure you clean and dry your sponges at the end of your cycle and store them in your bag when not in use.

Not bad but can be leaky if you don't soak it first.
For many years I was a loyal Diva Cup user until I had my first son since giving birth I have not been able to get any cup to stay up inside. So I decided to give this sponge a try since it's a little cheaper than the other brands I was not sure what the differences between the brands so I mean a sponge is a sponge isn't it. I didn't expect it to work exactly like the cup but I still cannot give this for more than 4 stars because if something like a child jumps on your abdomen it will squish the sponge and that of course we'll make it leak also sometimes if you bend over too far it could leak ( or do anything that might squish it) so you definitely need a backup pad under this. I found it helped to soak it in the water and peroxide it seems to hold better after that. After doing that so it's been less leaky when I bend over so I know that definitely does help so if you're having any problems please try that before giving up. I soaked it for 15 minutes in a mixture of a cup of water and 2 tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide and now though it still leaks if my baby jumps on my stomach (which he is prone to do at nearly two years old because he's just crazy like babies are at this age). It's been great for at night to keep the sheets from getting any on it which sometimes can happen especially on my heavy flow nights. I generally use mama cloth all of the time since having my baby (since I couldn't get a cup to work again) but I wanted to be able to have something for going swimming especially in the summer so I thought I'd give this a shot. At first I really didn't think it was going to work, what with the leaking and stuff. But after the hydrogen peroxide soak I think I can make it through a trip to the beach especially if I change and put a pad on before leaving the beach, but maybe not on my heaviest flow day.

Moon Time Comfort
The two sponges are the perfect size, and the bag is cute. They were shipped very quickly. Although I have recently converted to the LENA cup, I like having sponges as back up in case my cup isn't with me. For someone who wants to feel totally natural and connected to the earth and sea, sponges are perfect! They're extremely comfortable and can give you more of a connection with and appreciation for your "moon time"!
