Fit my mower perfectly

Bet you sell a lot of these.
Whoever designed this cap and tank receptor is a blithering idiot. New or old they will not stay put. Gas is constantly leaking from the tank. Ran over the last one with the mower.

Not for a B/S 500E
I read some reviews that stated it fit the Briggs and Stratton 500e. It did not fit my 500e. It would screw in correctly but was very loose. The problem is the size of the O ring. It is smaller than the original. I think that the other people that bought this for the Briggs and Stratton 500e are just mad because they were taken also and put up reviews stating it was okay so others would be screwed also. My thoughts.

Great replacement
This cap was a great replacement! It fit perfect!

Easily falls off when cutting under bushes.
It is an exact match for the cap which came with the mower and regularly falls off. The design is awful. The best thing about the transaction is that it was sold by Jack's, a great parts company.

Great fit
I got my gas cap and it fit and was such a relief it was exactly what was described.

Replacement gas cap a bust
Although the picture seemed to exactly match my needs, and it seemed to be the only one that matched, the actual product is not secure on the gas tank, it rattles around and, with the vibrations of the running motor, it gets even looser and the gas comes out. I'm currently holding the cap on with elastic bands but they get hot and break and need constant replacement. What a joke. The most frustrating part is probably the price, like $28 for a little piece of molded plastic that isn't even a fit.

Not great for a 500e
I had purchased this to replace the fuel cap on my 500e model mower. It fits too lose without some kind of thin gasket. My issue wasn’t with the quality of the product, but rather the fit for my application. If you buy this for a 500e application. Be prepared to have to modify it to work.
