Solid.
If you pick this up at a store and just flip through it, alot of the influence chapters seem like 'duh' moments and suggestions, (for example, sex sells) and if that's all you get out of it you'll be missing alot of value. For me, the value of the book was revealed when I was re-designing my company's website and coming up with advertisement banners - having all the main influences, examples, and a walk-through on how they work and why really helped me crystallize the value of my brand and bring to the surface (and to the eyes of my customers) some of the influences in the book I had basically otherwise overlooked. I also now more consciously incorporate these influences when talking to wholesale customers. Overall well worth the money for this book. Oh, it's also beautifully designed, hardy hardcover with thick pages, if you're into that sort of thing.

Concise and Insightful
The authors clearly walk the talk, presenting a large amount of knowledge on persuasion in advertising in bite size bits that you will not forget. The book is both very well -research backed and presented in a concise manner. It was a joy to read.

Good In Theory, Awful In Execution
The idea behind this book, to outline 33 persuasive techniques sounds like an intriguing concept. And it very well could've been. What holds it back are a couple things.Starting with the most blatant, I thought the idea for this book was to show how these different techniques come to life through advertising. However, there are a handful of techniques that are a page and a half in length and provide no examples whatsoever. Then there are others that do provide examples, but the copy is written in Spanish or even Portuguese. I had to go to Ads of the World, where I was able to easily find the English version so I'm confused as to why those weren't made available through this book. Each chapter ends with key takeaways and related concepts. The related concepts are never mentioned or defined in the book, so you're left to Googling them yourself. The back of the book has somewhat of a works cited page, in that the studies are mentioned. But they're never numbered. So, when it says "A recent study found...," you'l have no idea which study it's referring to. Lastly, the book is littered with grammatical and spelling errors that aren't completely off-putting, but makes you wonder if an editor even existed.BONUS: Who thought it would be a good idea to mention the potential of Google glasses for a 2019 publication?Overall, this feels more like bathroom reading material than a book for professionals. Could've been so much more.

Quick quide with lots of examples.
It's a good resource and fast reference to advertising approaches and marketing techniques. To the point and easy to read. Touche's on the main points and then moves onto the next. ( not in very depth, there are other books)

Nice Information and Nice Read
Very cool book. Clever writing that's clear to understand and not too wordy. It's already gotten me re-thinking the way I approach selling myself in a few ways. Nice.

Must have für Marketing Experten
Absolute Empfehlung!
