Overview: The C&E Cat5e Moleded Boot Snagless Network Patch Cable offers universal connectivity to computers and network components, such as routers, switch boxes, network printers, network attached storage (NAS) devices, VoIP phones, and PoE devices. C&E patch cables are available in various different colors and in various lengths ranging from 1 foot to 200 feet. Color-code, customize, and organize your home or office network with our highly rated network cables. Main Features: • Connects network components in a wired LAN at data transmission speeds up to 1 Gbps. • 26 AWG cable exceeds TIA/EIA standards & 350 MHz bandwidth (CAT5E). • 50-micron male RJ45 connectors per end, with corrosion-resistant gold-plating. • 4PR UTP copper strands for minimal noise, interference & crosstalk. • Tough, yet flexible PVC jacket & heavy-duty, snag-less mold. Built for Future-Proof Speed and Reliable Connectivity: This cable provides exceptional transmission performance and low signal losses. It supports up to 350 Mhz (cat5e) is suitable for Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, and 10-Gigabit Ethernet. All C&E cables are made of 100% bare copper wire as opposed to copper clad aluminum (CCA) wire, therefore fully compliant with UL Code 444, which requires pure bare copper wire in communications cables. Our patch and bulk cables are used by data centers around the world. Specifications: • Cable Type:CAT5E 4-Pair UTP. • Outside Diameter: 5.8 ± 0.3 mm (0.23 ± 0.01 inch). • Connector Type: RJ45. • Conductor Material: 100% Bare Copper. • Contact Plating: 50 Micron Gold Plated. • Conductor Gauge: 26 AWG. • Cable Performance:Up to 350 Mhz (Cat5E). • Cable Structure: Stranded. • UL Listed, TIA/EIA 568-C.2 Verified, RoHS Compliant. • Power over Ethernet (PoE) and Voice over IP (VoIP) Compliant.

As similar to others have said: Cons: 1) ...
As similar to others have said:Cons:1) Not in twisted pair format2) Wires themselves are thin, flimsy and weak3) Color coding is different, but works, I guess4) Colors of the wires themselves are shades instead of white with a colored stripe, which makes it more difficult to distinguish, mostly between the white blue and white green wires5) Jacket is decent, it's not full, but it's also not a flakey plastic either - can't decide if this is a con or a positive, so I'll list under bothPositives:1) It still works2) If you're not familiar with cables, you probably won't notice much difference3) Jacket is decentI would give it a 3/5 for quality, but I'm dropping it to a 2/5 because of falsely advertising that it's a cat5e, when it's not. Refer to my comment about twisted pair, or other reviewers have probably gone more into depth about it.All in all, it works, and it's cheap. If you're looking for cheap, both in product quality and price, but still want to make sure that it works, this might be for you.

You get what you pay for.
I was hoping to use this to connect a security camera to our router. You can really feel the poor quality when you take the cable out of the package. Seeing how cheap this cable was, I tried the connection before running it through the walls and in the crawl space. No signal to the camera. The light on the security camera should have lit up solid but it would barely flicker. I tested with a shorter better quality cable and everything worked fine.I would have spent more on a better quality cable, had I read the reviews first. Purchasing this was a waste of time and money. It is what it is... Cheap. You get what you pay for.Remember quality CAT5e runs about $1 a foot.

buy good wire (not this product) and test the wire before ...
Am really sorry I purchased this item. I paid $1600 to cut into walls run this wire and repaint. Then installed the access point. Didn't work. Then spent several hours with my computer guru trouble shooting why the access point didn't work. We didn't think to look at the wire first. Then we trouble shot the wire and it was defective. My computer guru said it both looked and felt cheap and unlike other CAT5 wire he has used. Because the wire ran around corners we are not able to pull a new wire to the location. We have to spend another $1,600 to run another wire. Moral of the story, buy good wire (not this product) and test the wire before you close up the wall and repaint.

Do Not buy this unless you want 100 Mbs connection max.
This cable will only connect at 100Mbs event thought they go on about how it will work with gigabit. Let me tell you it will not. I ran another cabled right beside this one and it connects gigabit fine. My tester shows all wires are good but I am guessing it is just poor quality. Complete waste of Money I did not use the cable for a while just bought it in case I needed it and when I did had to buy another better quality one.

Absolute garbage!
Product description says "CAT5E" This standard mandates that the wires be made from COPPER.I purchased the product for the COPPER WIRE...The product is NOT COPPER WIRE! It is aluminum wire.Cannot return due to time since purchase, and the fact that I chopped the end off so I could use a section for a project, only to discover that the product description is a lie!

Could not get 1Gibs out of cable, much less would it give 10Gibs.
The description reads: "Future-proof your network for 10-Gigabit Ethernet"This cable could only function at 100Mibs. You give me 1/100th what you add, you get one star. It is very thin, very flexible. Would not work at 1Gibs or much less 10Gibs. Amazon should address the discrepancy.

Cheap cable
Ordered three of these cables, got what I paid for. For my installation, I ran them through the walls/attic. I cut the ends of the cable off and directly wired the cable strands to the ethernet jack. Surprise surprise, this cable is cheap. But, that's pretty much what I expected for only 8 bucks.1) Not twisted pair cable, which means this isn't 'real' cat 5e...2) The gauges of the individual wires inside the cable were different. The Black wire was the biggest, the striped blue/green strands were significantly smaller diameter.3) As a result of (2), several strand colors did not work with punch-down ethernet jacks. The punch-down keystone wall jack has little blades that are supposed to cut through the wire insulation and make electrical contact with the wire. Well, some of the strand wires were too thin for the punch to cut through, and they ended up just mashing the insulation. I had to strip those wire strands and solder it directly to the jack. So, as a patch cable (i.e. plugging it in on both ends), this cable performs as expected. If you try to do more than that (like I did), you're in for a world of headaches. I won't hold the cable accountable for my problems (because I went beyond what this cable was meant to do), but minus a star for not being twisted-pair cat 5e. All cat 5 cable should be twisted pair. Advertising this cable as such is false advertising.

Works great for gaming
With my internet company, there are no modems anywhere in the house. The run wires directly from a box outside into one hold in the wall downstairs, which is connected to my router which then feeds the rest of the house. Its great, but wifi over the xbox one system does not work super great. I bought this cord to run it about 60 feet from my router to where my gaming device is. Works great, i hit 20mbs down/up everytime I run a speed test on my box. No degradation of speed at all.
