These work well on a metal roof I had to use self-tapping screws and Henry's tropical roof coating over them.

Screws are useless ...........
The screws are designed to drill their own pilot hole. Unfortunately, the hole that is drilled is larger then the screw itself (i.e., the major diameter of the thread). As a result the screw spins uselessly in the hole that it drills. I had to purchase proper screws to make the brackets useful. Additionally, there are just two screw holes in each bracket. For RV applications two screws is marginal since they are usually going into a 1/4" or thinner luan roof. I drilled a third hole in each bracket. Lastly, the screws are much longer than necessary for an RV application. With at most a 3/8" roof luan, 3/4" screws would be ample and reduce the risk of going into wiring embedded in the roof.
