DynatekCoil - 12V/2.2 OHM Dual Output DC4-1

I replaced the OEM coils on my 2005 Yamaha Road Star Silverado with these coils along with a set of the 8mm Dynatek coil wires and what a HUGE improvement!! I won't go as far as to say it's "like new", but it's pretty close. Installation was a little tricky since the Dynatek coils are physically bigger, but they still fit in the same locations as the OEM ones. I just had to turn them so I had enough clearance to get the wires on the towers. But depending on what bike you're installing the coils on, you may not have that issue. Final word; If you're bike is more than 10 years old and you're still running the OEM coils (& wires), do yourself a favor and swap them out with a set of the Dynateks. You won't be disappointed!!

I had to do some fabrication to make them fit-as others mentioned. And tech support was useless, I didn't understand why firing order wasn't more relevant until a co-worker explained "waste fire" to me. The tech support for these guys just kept telling me that the terminals were non-polarized-and I already knew that, about the small gauge wire connections. I was trying to figure out why the secondary side of these didn't matter like cylinder 1 vs. 2. Everything I've worked on since about 1978 has had a firing order-and it's paramount.

Replaced a pair that were 10 years old. One of the 2 stopped putting out spark.

I replace my stock coils and wire set with the dyna tek units and I also installed the iridium plugs and a stage 1 jet kit and increased my mixture ratio by about 20 percent and the pop was impressive--------Just wanted to add that these do use more power then the stocks and it does tend to drain the battery when you "use" the extra power....lol but I am going to purchase the upgraded alternator part that is available as I did get sick of charging my battery every three or four rides out'

They are a good buy that came on time and come with screws and wire ends
