Easy read. Nutrition program actually works. I am a mostly sedentary woman with average height and build in my forties. I started putting on extra weight, especially around my mid-section in the last couple of years that used to be easy to get off, but couldn't find a solution until this. Within 2 weeks, I had lost 2 inches form my waist and almost 10% of my body weight. I eat a lot by most people's standards and was never hungry - in fact, on some days I had trouble eating it all. Even after I returned to eating pizza and frozen yogurt, I kept it off for months. Additionally, I just felt better - had more energy to play with my family and attend to my new business venture.Biggest issues I had were:1. In what I assume is an effort to provide variety, so many ingredients are not reused throughout a week so there was waste (e.g. need a couple of tablespoons of parsley, only 5 macadamia nuts, etc which can't be purchased in such small quantities.)2. Time. There is a considerable amount of prep and cooking that is necessary, so be prepared to serious commit.

I have followed Lori on Twitter for the past year and appreciate all of her tweets as it relates to food choices and eating healthy. Having wanted sound advice as regards my diet I began to employ Lori's suggestions and within days of eliminating foods and additives that are not healthy for me I began to feel better with an increased energy level. I purchased this book and decided to read at least 25 pages each time I opened it. Some of these 25 page sections I have read again which has reinforced my will in choosing a better diet. Now that I am into it my food choices are easier and the willpower increases each week. Since I have it on my iPhone I always have it with me. The information here is priceless and the cost of feeling better is now a constant. I would advise any of you who wish to be healthier and increase their energy level to purchase this book today and begin reading immediately. You will thankful to Lori on a daily basis as I am.

It isn't a diet it is a food plan and life style plan
Read it, believe it and then follow it. It really is easy AND you are not hungry while eating this way. Follow Dr Lori's advice about prepping your vegetables ahead of time when you do your grocery shopping and you'll find this easy to follow. I also grill extra chicken cutlets and poach extra fish when I make dinner, which make lunch time very easy. Two weeks in and I am loosing weight and feeling much better...my aches and pains are less each day...wish I had read this book sooner....and did I say I AM NOT HUNGRY eating this way.

Best Book Available on FATflammation
This is my review and personal testimony of the client relationship I’ve had with Dr. Lori over the past three years, which is in direct correlation to her new book.I have struggled my entire life with a weight problem, but I was always grateful that throughout my many dieting attempts that I didn’t have a sweet tooth like so many of my friends. That is, until about a year and a half ago when I had an affair with a red velvet cake-pop, not one, but many. Until that day, I was centered in a healthy eating and exercise plan that Dr. Lori started me on around the time her first book came out, Fire Up Your Fat Burn. That one incident triggered something in my body that put me on a downhill slide, with sweets being a major part of my life. I felt out-of-control, helpless, sluggish (even though I maintained my regular exercise program) and could not go into a store without leaving with something sweet. After many frustrating attempts, I had a conversation with Dr. Lori about my addiction. In Dr. Lori fashion, she asked me a few questions and right away asked that I get started on a specific probiotic. She also indicated that I am having a problem with inflammation and made other suggestions that are found in her new book.I am so grateful for Dr. Lori’s advice and can gratefully say that as of six month ago, my sweet addiction has ended. I can personally attest to the fact that if you follow her program, you will be a success. Make it a gift to yourself.P.S. I am on week one of Dr. Lori’s plan. I feel great, have more energy, my skin looks healthier, my eyes are brighter, and I am never hungry.

Excellent
I have just finished reading this book on my Kindle and it is so good that I have ordered the hard copy as well. This is something I rarely do as a book has to be very special to make it on to my bookshelf! I even found myself reading a number of the articles listed in the bibliography. Given some of the food items, I think it is written more for the US market than the UK but for me this didn't really detract from the book's overall message. A small criticism for the Kindle edition is that there are a few editorial errors, including a paragraph that is repeated twice but I'm sure the hard copy will be perfect! Overall it is an absolute must read for anyone who is interested in holistic nutrition and achieving and/or sustaining good health and wellbeing. Well done and thank you Lori!

Eating your way to better health
How to Fight Fatflammation is for anyone wanting to eat better whether they want to lose weight or not. There is so much conflicting information out there so it is great that Lori Shemek has made it simple and understandable. You will learn how inflammation affects your body and how you can reduce it by changing what you eat. I didnt go hungry and you wont either. Plus the eating plan is easy to follow and delicious. I also like that the program runs for three weeks- so makes it approachable. This book has helped me improve my health so I recommend it.
