Like a Colleague Working With Me
I appreciate the way that Bobbie Faulkner breaks down the MOC instructions and reminds me of some of her most effective tips for National Board writing. While the directions from the National Board are clear, Bobbie's approach is personable and affirming! The candidates whom I work with most appreciate the remainder of the three types of writing required for successful completion - and some examples to get them started on writing instead of procrastinating. I can't imagine completing MOC without this handy reference!

Fantastic NBC MOC Resource!!!
This book is phenomenal and is a MUST for those of us attempting renewal for NBC under the new MOC. Fantastic tips and breakdown of needed information and the “how,” “why,” and “what” to include in your written commentary and components. I read/used her first books when I totally seeking NBC and am thrilled to be using this now for MOC!!

Helpful Resource to Support the NBPTS MOC Instructions
This booklet reads well alongside the main NBPTS instructions. It functions as a sounding board to fine tune the component writeup of your PGEs and helps ascertain determining the best segments of video recording. In that regard, it serves its purpose well. Because of the newly restructured maintenance process, Faulkner helps ease anxiety for those trying to seek support as first-timers to this process.Having said that, there is one major content typo. She correctly explains the process to collect SOPs in a few various places throughout the book, so it's my desire to read her graciously. However, if you jump around and fail to read the entire book and happen to look at only the typo reference, it can be misleading. Italicized on page 38, Fauklner writes, "Although the PGE may have occurred earlier, the SOP must be collected in the year you apply for MOC." This simply is not true, and fortunately, the author correctly explains collecting SOPs elsewhere. Just be aware. SOPs can be collected from your latest certification or renewal (whichever happened most recently).A helpful little booklet! Perfect length: not too long to add to your workload, and not too short to leave you wanting more.
