Factory remote
After purchasing a used sony radio for my vehicle it had no remote to control it most of all the dvd player. I contacted sony directly and they said its a discontinued remote and i found this one and asked them if it would work on my radio,they stated possibly but could not guarantee it but didn't think so. Itook a chance and like always amazon came through with another great product for a low cost.

I like the size and buttons are easy to find without looking. Can put in arm rest or pocket feels good in had. Only thing is all the buttons do not work. I still find myself using the screen because the is no fuction button or the button won't do function. I would still buy again it's worth having.

Works perfectly for my device
As soon as I pointed the device at my HU (SONY XAV-62BT) it started working. I've been using it for a few weeks now and there was 1 instance where I had to turn my HU off then back on again for the remote to repair itself - easy. If you're tired of reaching for your HU as I was, get this for pure convenience and easy of use. I wish it lit up....that would be my only request.

Should have came with the radio. Shame on Sony!!!
For the price paid for the radio this expensive remote should have been included. It is valuable to have so you don't have to take your eyes off the road. The controls on the radio are complex and the remote offers direct access to features buried deep in menus. I feel this remote is a necessary item, and Sony just gouged the consumer by not including it as pert of the radio package. I rate the remote 5 stars. I rate Sony Corporation 1 star for gouging the consumer.
