It is a great monitor for towers with newer graphics cards.
The monitor is a great value for the price. The monitor works with towers with HDMI 2.0 connections. If your PC or graphic card has an HDMI 2.0 or HDMI 2.1 connection then this monitor is what you need. You need to make sure what your HDMI connection is because if your monitor is HDMI 1.0 or HDMI 1.4 then it will not work. You will get a black screen with a text box that says input not recognized. This is my second Acer PC monitor, and I can say that they are very good monitors. I have never had one fail on me. It gets the job done and the picture quality is great. The frame rate of this one is a vast improvement over previous models. You can play any AAA titles without any issues. If you have any gaming issues then they will come from your GPU or CPU; this monitor will not be an issue.I would recommend this monitor to anyone who needs a monitor whether they are looking to replace the family PC setup, a new monitor for office workers, or for gamers who like to custom build their own rig.

Amazing monitor!!! Great price!
The best monitor I've ever owned, and such high specs for the price. Bought an Acer laptop in 2006, which still works great, but upgraded last year to an Acer Aspire 5 since the speed, storage & Wifi of the old one are outdated. Acer is a great brand, and best bang-for-the-buck!

VG270S Includes FreeSync Premium and HDMI 2.0 at 165hz.
After purchasing I can confirm that the VG270S includes FreeSync Premium and HDMI 2.0 and runs at 165Hz on HDMI. I was a little concerned because after ordering this monitor, I discovered the Acer KG272 also exists for the same price and explicitly advertises FreeSync Premium and HDMI 2.0. From pictures and specs it seems the VG270S and KG272 are the same panel, just the stand is different, so I would get whichever you can get the cheapest. Picture and color quality is great, and it passed the UFOTest ghosting test without any noticeable blur with out-of-box settings (165hz, OverDrive at Normal, Ultra-Low Latency On). Compared to the GIGABYTE G27FC monitor with a VA Panel I tried before this one, the GIGABYTE had better black levels for sure, but it had severe black smear/ghosting and I had to return it. The GIGABYTE monitor also exhibited much blur in the UFOTest and was unacceptable. The Acer VG270S IPS panel is much better response time, even if the blacks aren’t quite as good. Also my phone did a poor job of photographing the monitor OSD, there’s reflection washout showing up in the corners of the photo etc. the panel does look great. I definitely can recommend this as a great budget IPS display who want to stay with 1080p.

Good Simple Monitor
The 23.8" IPS 165 hz monitor is good for general use. For the price, (Currently at 135 dollars and has been like that for a good while) it works very well and I don't see why people would fuss over it.Now the cons are there but a lot of them you can tell before using it. First, 23.8" is pretty small compared to the 24" or even the more desired 27". The picture you will display will be smaller than you are used too and if you intend to work on projects for work or personal hobbies then the display size may not be for you.Second is the cables that the monitors come with. They are pretty short which might not go well with your setup. You may need to buy longer cables for these monitors to be used cleanly. For the power cable it is just a power cable without any power supply box. What this mean is that the power is running directly to the monitors so if your setup doesn't have power spike protections and a lot of brown outs or black outs then these monitors will have a higher chance at being fried. Not saying it will 100% of the time but if you happen to smell burning plastic when using your monitors before they go black then you just need to replace them.Third, the screens themselves have no plastic boarders that you can find from other monitors on the market. However, there is a pretty thick black line on the boarder that doesn't display anything. This may have been a design choice to make people believe these monitors are borderless. Guess that is why these are 23.8" because that .2" is the boarder.Positives. These monitors do work. The shipping also came damaged free. These are very easy to set up and pretty easy to use as they are plug n play monitors that will find the connection automatically. These monitors do support blue light in order to help protect your eyes from the more damaging blue light. Nowadays more and more monitors have this function already but even if the ones you have don't you can simply get a screen to place over the display. The hz are pretty high at 165 with the IPS. This basically solves the main issue with IPS monitors with the poor blurring and bad corners. Now, when you plug them in they may appear to only be at 60hz. All you need to do is change that setting on your PC or device. If the device does not have any options to change it then you will have to deal with the device limits on this function.I do like Acer as they are a good company in my opinion when it comes to making their devices. They are not overly pricy and will work just fine. With this monitor, I can tell it isn't the best I ever had but I can also tell that it isn't the worst. Over time I am sure I will adjust when using them. Big reason for the four star instead of the five star is because of the issues/cons I pointed out.

Good value for money
Clean picture and fast refresh rate. Bought it as one of the cheapest 120Hz monitors I could find at the time. Had an issue with the display after about a year, customer support was very easy to work with and quick to respond. The only complaint I had about the process was that I had to pay for the shipping to them (they paid to return it once they fixed it). When I have RMA'd things with other manufacturers in the past, they usually just send me a shipping label.

My first gaming monitor
It's great. Big step up from a laptop screen. Amazing, smooth, color accurate monitor with little to no ghosting. Great for gaming. Loads of customizability.
