The clock puts out a nice clear sound. Not blasting, but loud enough to hear throughout the room it is in. It runs silent in the late night/early morning hours so as to not disturb your slumber. It sings like a cardinal each hour on the hour.

Q: Can sound be adjusted? THX..

There is no volume control but the clock does decide on the sound level based on the light in the room hitting the sensor on the face of the clock. It is completely silent in the dark. If you want the sound louder, place it in a bright room.
