Highly recommend
Came almost fully put together! We bought this as a second learning tower for our younger toddler because our kids were fighting over the one we had. Our first one was an older version of this same tower. We received it used and have had it for 3 years, we love that it folds and it looks attractive in our kitchen. Very sturdy, my kids love it. The new one has an addition of a non-slip pad where you stand, which I think is amazing for safety and love the upgrade.

Great! (...and still standing 4+ years later!)
My wife had me convinced we wanted the Little Partners Learning Tower (accept no imitations, right?!?), but the size was a put-off in our rather cramped quarters, not to mention the price premium. This Kitchen Helper is typical bolt-together furniture quality -- nothing special, but after 4+ years of use, has proven durable enough for regular duty while being easy to assemble and convenient to fold & store. Its weight is relatively light -- light enough for our (at the time) 20 month old son to push around the kitchen to the location he desired, yet with a platform high enough for him to access the counter. It's also demonstrated remarkable stability, without any hit of tipping when our (now 5 and 3 year old) sons are sharing the space. We do hover in close proximity while the tower is in use. The chalk board and dry erase board are cheesy "painted on" surfaces, and each is centered on the folding side wall and so divided with large gaps smack down the middle. I don't see them being very usable surfaces to write on, especially since even light writing pressure on the writing surfaces will cause the unoccupied stand to slide across the floor. I suppose adding rubber grip strips on the feet would help a bit, but really I think was just a case of Guidecraft opting to fill available space with something of questionable value in order to fluff up their bullet list of "features." The biggest annoyance is the fold-down standing platform. As soon as I begin to unfold the flattened stand into its box shape, this hinged platform tries to flop down into its working position. Trouble is, there are two pivoting metal clasps below the platform that need to be locked in place to secure the tower sides from folding back in. Since both hands are involved in opening the stand, the platform usually bangs down in a loud and uncontrolled manner, and I'll have to lift it out of the way to work the latches. It's not a major problem, but I'd bet Guidecraft could have engineered in some magnets to keep the platform up and out of the way. And again, a rubber strip would soften the impact when this surface falls into place. In reality, the two latches are superfluous because the standing platform itself prevents the sides from folding back in. Also, I haven't yet used the single retaining screw to lock the platform into its deployed position. I might use it if I weren't interested in regularly folding the tower up after use, but it's unnecessary unless you have two kids and are worried about one sliding their fingers under the platform while another puts weight on the platform, creating a pinch hazard (though this hasn't yet presented itself as a problem). All in all, this is a great, lightweight, decent quality, stowable tower to get the little one in on the action in the kitchen. Hits for my guys are sorting noodles in Tupperware containers, helping to put wet dishes and silverware into the drying rack, cooking pancakes, and observing meal prep & cooking.

Toddler Step Stool
This toddler step stool is very well made and very sturdy. The size is perfect for my one-year-old grandson. If folds up nicely and can be stored with little room. Very little work to put together. Highly recommend this product.

Best Kitchen Helper
We just this as a birthday gift for my little one. We have been looking for a Kitchen Helper for some time and with a lot of research the Guidecraft Kitchen Helper was by far the best. The quality is amazing, assembly in minutes, and best part is that it folds up that I can stick it anywhere. It’s super safe with both keepers and really has created a fun space for my little one to learn and help in the kitchen. I also love how it grows with my little one with the different platform heights. Best purchase this year!

Works well, quality is fine
Item arrived quickly and largely already assembled. Leg supports are all that needs to be added and my 22 month played on it while I put them on (8 screws, you'll need a phillips screw driver). Unlike some other reviewers, all holes lined up well, and on the whole, I'd say the quality is no worse than current IKEA stuff. I chose this over the pricier item because it can fold up and be put aside. Our small kitchen made this the right choice. About folding it up: a screw that attaches the platform to the base has to be removed in order to fold it up, giving you the choice of leaving this screw out to allow easy to fold at the risk of potential pinched fingers of a curious toddler (catching their fingers in the unsecured platform) or securing the platform and making it harder to fold up. I've gone with the former (though the screw comes out easily with a provided allen wrench). Quality: like I said, just fine. The hinges that allow it to fold up were a bit loose but easily tightened. I added felt to the bottom of the legs to protect our wood floors. Features: on one side is a chalkboard and the other a whiteboard- nice touches. The height of the platform is adjustable for your growing child. Issues: the leg supports extend beyond the item and I trip/stub my toes on them fairly routinely (again, small kitchen). As others have mentioned, the shapes on the side are a nice touch but also tempt children to climb on them. It hasn't fully solved our problem of our child wanting to be constantly held while we're cooking/cleaning... but it helps.

Pick this one
I spent a lot of time looking at learning towers here on amazon and other places. They are pretty pricey, so I wanted to make sure I made the right decision. I looked at ones that were less expensive than this one, but that didn't fold, and also seemed to be from companies that I wasn't 100% confident on the safety of the product. We decided to just take the leap and get this one and we are so glad we did. It was super easy to assemble and it is a very solid piece of furniture. My daughter immediately got in and we use it all day every day since. I will admit that I fold it up way less often than I thought I would, but it is so nice to have the option when you need it tucked away. Also, the safety net that clips open and closed is wonderful for when I don't want her climbing up, but I will say that I don't feel the need to close it when she is in it. Granted, she is almost 2. With this in mind, I feel like we could have used it when she was smaller because of this lovely safety feature. It will be nice when another little one comes along and wants to use it. I have not found any of the negative reviews to be applicable in my case. The mat is super easy to clean, it is in no way wobbly, and it is very easy to fold and unfold. I can't speak to the paint peeling as I got the natural color. I think that with any product that is used so often, you would have wear in the paint. I can tell this will be with us for a very long time. The only future concern I have is that I think lowering the platform will take a little more work than others I saw, but this is just because it is so sturdy and safe. It isn't just a piece of plywood you move into grooves. But I don't think we'll have to worry about this for a while, as my daughter is in the 95% for her height at 2 years old, and we won't need to move it any time soon. If you've been on the fence or searching for a while, just buy this one!

Wonderful, quality piece that will last for years to come!
This is a beautiful, sturdy piece! And Guidecraft customer service is phenomenal! I received the Kitchen Helper 4 days before my son's birthday. The one we received had a screw that had popped out, but we couldn't get it back in because the wood was stripped. It was one of the screws to hold the latch in place so the kitchen helper doesn't fold on the side, so it was a safety issue. Guidecraft sent a new one out to us and it arrived only two days later! And the representative was extremely kind and understanding. Both our boys have loved the kitchen helper. We keep it folded next to our refrigerator and our four year old can pull it out by himself, unfold it, put the latches down, put the platform down, and climb on all by himself. He also puts it away all by himself. He can move it from the sink to the island and back easily. We love that it folds down because we don't have a ton of space in our kitchen. We would not have gotten it if it wasn't able to be folded down quickly. There is an allen wrench and screw to screw the platform down in place, but we do not use it. We have it taped to the underside of the platform though in case it ever becomes an issue and we need to secure it down. Having this has saved our son from MANY falls thanks to the side panels and front/back railing. He can be a bit clumsy and would fall off of chairs. It is so nice to be able to have him helping in the kitchen now that we know he is safe. And he loves to be tall enough to help out too! Bottom line: * Exceptional customer service from Guidecraft * Set-up/take-down so easy a 4 year old can do it * Durable, quality item that will last for many, many years

Best Family Gift Ever - Grandchild loves this!
This was a gift for our grandchild,so I consulted our daughter first as to whether they would use it. They had never seen one, but thought it sounded like a good idea. They wanted it to be collapsible so they could put it away when not in use. It's been over a month since they set it up in their kitchen and they never put it away, as the child (a one year old) uses it every day, and prefers it to the high chair. She likes to stand in it and eat her food at the counter. I was concerned about the possibility of her slipping out as I had read many reviews about this, so I cut a pine board to fit on the inside of one side. I made the fit tight enough and notched around the hinges so it would fit tight. For extra security, I secured it at the top by stapling some sturdy cotton shoe laces to the board and then tying them through the bottom cut out shapes. This actually just a quick fix, and I could have done a better job with velcro, or drilling holes through the pine board, but it works and likely she won't need the board in a few months. I could have bought the version with the side (which I recommend if you can't rig a board/side yourself) for the safety reason, but I didn't want to spend the extra money, so this worked for us. Another cool thing that can be done with this is to have it up near a window so the child can see out. They live on a busy street so she can watch the cars go by and what's happening outside, such as when there's a big snow storm and someone is shoveling the walkway or driveway. I do not recommend leaving the child alone in this as they could try climbing out, and be very aware of what is within reach to them such as knives, strings from window shades/blinds, or being to close to hot water or a stove (grease splatters). As with anything you need to child proof at this height within their reach. I highly recommend this product, and wish I'd thought to get one or build one when my children younger. This makes an awesome birthday/holiday gift for a young family, especially when little tend to get a lot of toys. This is one toy/activity that gets used daily.

Perfect!
As a sufferer of extreme anxiety, I needed something secure for my two year old to keep him occupied in the kitchen, and when I came across this I knew it was perfect for us both. There are cheaper on the market but this one looked more secure to me, with a good amount of space, yet it didn't look like he could just topple backwards and fall out. My two year old uses it every day, either helping me bake or prepare dinner, or just standing at the kitchen sink playing with the water (he's obseesed). And it's also meant that I can reclaim some of my sanity by not panicking that I'm going to spill dinner over him or trip him up etc... Which has made it worth the extra expense in my eyes.

indispensable

Priceless!
This is AWESOME! Our daugther no longer uses her normal feeding chair; we were basicly holding her one our knees to eat or chase her all over the house with the food. Now she climbs up into this tower and she eats with us at the table; Washing her hands also became something fun as she sits into the tower. Her mother can cook now, without having to worry about the little one doing something aroung the house without surveillance, because she sits next to her in the tower, "helping" her mother. This tower saved us! And it's well made and very good looking too. Extremely practical. WOW! PS: our daughter is 17 months old. The hight of the tower can be adjusted for bigger kids, by lowering the base if necessary.

Finalmente mani libere!
Molto utile e fatto bene, comodo soprattutto perché si chiude occupando poco spazio. Finalmente il mio bimbo può vedere cosa sto facendo in cucina senza doverlo tenere in braccio!

Recomendable
Muy útil en la cocina con niños pequeños y materiales de altísima Calidad, lo llevo usando varios años y sigue intacto. Plegado compacto. Lo que menos me ha gustado es que es pesado
