The customer service is one of the worst I have encountered. They don't email you back for 2 to 3 weeks, and they will ask,"what seems to be the problem?" You'll never hear from them again. The instructions were horrible. especially when it came to the electronics. If I had to recommend a better printer I would highly recommend the wanhao i3. Link here: https://www.desertcart.com/Wanhao-i3-V2-Duplicator/dp/B01CGB8LA6 . I realize it may be more, but its a very high quality printer with amazing service. I hope this helps. Review: It prints, but it's a bit of a pain.... - Let's be real; if you are choosing this it's because you don't want to pay an arm and a leg for something nicer. It works, but you will have to do the work if you want to get decent function. I received some bad parts in my kit, but was able to compensate by using my dremmel to modify the parts, and the company sent replacement parts after I contacted them (but that took a bit of time). Don't get this if you aren't ready to troubleshoot and fix problems on your own, if you need a plug-and-play printer, or if you are looking for something that can be quickly used to produce reliable parts upon assembly. That being said, it is an incredibly educational experience building and tuning the printer, and I am looking forward to remaking the frame using better material when I have time.

I feel like i've just flushed this money down the drain and ...
I missed the return window do to build time and now i'm kicking myself. The instructions are meh and not complete. Especially in the late stages when it comes to wiring (after everything else is built). They provide a colored wiring diagram that doesn't even match what you have. I submitted a support ticket with questions and have received nothing after 2 weeks. I feel like i've just flushed this money down the drain and what's worse it was a project with my kids so now all the time they've put into it is lost too. I also love how the picture doesn't even show the control/power board that's floating free with screws coming out the bottom. Perfect for scratching the table you placed it on. Ask me how i know that. Update. After letting sit for a few months I got back on this project and finally got all the wiring done and proceeded to connect to my computer. The Repetier-Host software (open source, recommended by them) immediately detects and error and again, no support from Q3D. Additionally their support page no longer works, just goes to a white page. Trust me, do no buy this.

Sets you up for difficulties
I bought this printer knowing it wasn't the best. I can't speak on the quality of prints or parts because they provide no information about what to do after you assemble the printer. I would return it but I'm determined to try and get it to work.

Save your money
wrong parts, 2* XTOP + 0* XTOPEXTENSION bad parts, EHFRAME the screw holes to secure EBLOCK1 are two wide. had to glue it (yes, i had the correct screws) I previously bought a OneUp v2 from MicroCenter for $200. The prints were okay but lots of wobble. I was hoping the ThreeUp v3 would be a good solution. Now I'm waiting on parts to find out.

Good product. Take your time during assembly.
This is a well thought out product but it is not necessarily for a beginner. I followed the directions carefully and it prints well. I could see if you were trying to hurry through the build that you would have problems. Take your time and you will enjoy this kit.

TERRIBLE PRODUCT AND EVEN WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE
I ignored some of the low rating reviews when I bought this, biggest mistake I've made in a while. I can't even begin to explain what a poor product this is. Parts don't fit, parts are missing, manual is different revision than current product, manual only covers build of unit, not operation. Not one single successful print, no support hotline, customer support email took 5 days to respond each time. My poor son was so excited Christmas day and three weeks later we just gave up and returned it. I wish I could give it zero stars.

The worst printer money can buy.
When will people stop buying these? I keep seeing people buying these printers only to have them fail. This printer is, at best, a gamble. Depending on your needs and if you can get it working, this printer will produce "meh" prints, or just not work. For those with little to no experience with these kinds of things, please listen. These are not toys. These are consumer grade printers. You cannot simply buy a printer and expect it to work properly. It's like any other tool: You need to know how to use it for it to be effective. Like any tool, every 3D printer in its class *can* produce the same quality of print, so long as you are willing to educate yourself and spend some time on this. Any printer can produce details. The advertised "Makerbot quality" is a sham not because the Threeup can't produce good prints, it's that any printer is physically capable of doing so. In any case, Makerbot has one of the worst reputations in the community for reliability. Layer resolution is almost 100% marketing as it very rarely has anything to do with the printer itself. Ignore it. Instead, look for a reliable printer. At the low end, look for a printer that will not fall apart, and will be easy for you to work on and improve if you find that the print quality is not up to par. This printer is made out of very weak MDF. It *can* fall apart as it has for me. You need a printer that has good support and a good community. Q3D is a horrible company with numerous complaints of crappy support. There are innumerable design flaws that I have noticed in my many months of using this printer. I hope I've persuaded you not to buy a Q3D printer. Here are some better printers at around the same price: Monoprice Maker Select | 200 USD Folgertech i3 aluminum | 270 USD (bring your own bed, so 300ish) Monoprice Maker Select | 350 USD MakerFarm Pegasus 8" | 375 USD Here are some places to ask for help (Sorry, Amazon doesn't allow links): reddit /r/3dprinting Reprap IRC (Be patient!)
