Med too small XL way too big. Great costume!
With slight modifications, this costume definitely does the trick. Size is definitely an issue with this costume. Here's how mine panned out for my Australian Shepherd.Buck is 45 lbs. Neck 20" chest 24" and neck to tail is 27"According to size chart, XL should have been sufficient. However reading the reviews, I was cautious and got the medium. The medium was so tiny it fit my 18 lb jack Russell terrier mix.So I get the XL, I could have made major modifications. It was so huge. The chest area could fit around a pony it seems. Definitely as big as everyone says in comments.Medium is very small. XL is waaay to big. I just bought the large, hopefully this works. A small piece of fabric attached to the costume under the neck will hold it in place just fine.

Cute costume, good quality, don't buy unless you can sew.
So I'll start off by saying.. read the reviews. Everyone says it's sized funky and they're correct. That being said, I ordered an XL because I have a tall lanky Standard Poodle and needed the length and torso length of the XL. Also, I can sew well. I wasn't scared of altering it.It was HUGE on my dog, but the torso length was perfect. I ended up cutting off the legs, removed three inches from the legs and sewing them back on. Also cut a tail hole. And removed about 12 inches from the belly area, then added new Velcro. And I added Velcro at the chest so it'd stay on.Alterations took about 2 hours. That was priceless though when my son (Darth Vader) was walking his AT AT down the street with his best friend as Luke Skywalker as they trick or treated. Priceless.

It's like the designer has never seen a dog in real life.
First of all, the measurements given on the website don't match up to the actual product, when I ordered it based on how I measured my dog it was way too large. So I ordered a size smaller, and was still highly disappointed. This costume won't stay on your dog for anything more than the standing pose in this picture. Since there is no chest strap, the costume will slide right off the back of the dog if your dog does anything besides stand perfectly still. The belly strap goes right through the middle between the chest and belly, instead of around the chest just behind the front legs where it should go, which pulls the costume backwards. And there is no height difference between the front part that goes over the neck and the back part that goes over the rump, which tips the entire costume backwards in dogs that exhibit normal posture and hold their heads up. All these factors lead to the inexorable sliding of this costume backwards. And to make things even more fun, there is no way to adjust the length of the legs, and the cute little leg cuffs don't have elastic or velcro or any other apparatus that might help them to stay up. This leads to the effect of the dog also stepping out of the legs of the costume, and/or stepping on them and/or getting tangled in them. The headpiece is surprisingly ok, it will stay put for most posture changes although it probably wouldn't last through any vigorous running or head shaking. It partially obstructs the dog's vision, so I wouldn't expect even the best-behaved dog to wear it for more than a couple of minutes anyway.Overall, this costume was a huge disappointment.

Review of AT-AT Walker costume
It seems these reviews are a mix of the evok and AT-AT costumes, so just to be clear, this review is of the AT-AT costume. This package is more a template for a costume than a ready-to-wear costume. To start with, I listened to the other reviewers and ordered one size smaller than indicated on the sizing chart. According to the chart, my mini Aussie (who is 21 inches long) should wear a large, so I ordered a medium. The medium is supposed to be 15 inches long and appropriately sized for a pug or French bulldog. Well, the medium is actually 22 inches long (not 15) and the legs are about 18" tall! Too long, too tall, the headpiece would have fit a rottweiler, and the hump on the back doesn't hold its form (which would be a problem regardless of size). The next smaller size would have been too short length-wise so returning for a small wasn't an option.A very generous and handy friend spent maybe five hours (and three fittings) tailoring the costume to fit my dog. As mentioned, the length worked as-is (and is the one dimension that would difficult to change); we narrowed the headpiece, shortened the legs, tightened the belly, and added stuffing so that the hump would keep its shape and not collapse. As purchased, I would give the costume two stars, but with our improvements I give it five stars. This averages out to 3.5, hence my 4-star rating. The kit is a great starting point and has the potential to be an awesome costume -- if you're able to put some work into tailoring it.

Not a good fit for long dogs like Corgi’s
It looked weird on my corgi and did not fit properly. The design is strange and you need to fill the hump with stuffing unless your dog has a humped back, otherwise it doesn’t stay up because it’s empty inside. The head doesn’t not stay on while he walks so it just looks ridiculous. I have no clue how they got the model dog picture because if I could have got just one picture of him looking good in it then at least that would be something, but you’d have to have your dog in the perfect angle to make it look slightly like an ATAT and it just wasn’t happening with any living breathing dog.

Good, but only if you're willing and able to put in some effort.
This costume was obviously designed by someone who's never seen a dog but has been told they are AT-AT shaped...As received the costume is hollow and made of very flexible foam backed fabric, the width and leg size on a large is right for a medium sized greyhound or lurcher (my lurcher is about 25kg for reference), but the body being hollow drops down over the dogs body and drops off his back. The head piece isn't a bad size except for the elastic which is way too long to have any effect on keeping it in place and the body strap is huge! The sizing seems to be based on a round bodied breed rather than a long dog (which the costume suits) as shown in the listing. I wish I'd taken a picture as received, but unfortunately it wouldn't stay on long enough to pick up my phone, literally! In order to get to the state that I did photograph I had to do the following-:Stiffen the guns on the headset as they were folded back. I did this by gluing wire behind them.Shorten the headpiece elastic by over half it's length.Cut two cardboard profiles of the body and stiffen them.Make a spacer of the same width as the costume and glue it between the two profiles.Make a foam 'saddle' of the same width to hold it comfortably on the dog's back and glue this in too.Fit the home made cardboard AT-AT body inside the costume.Shorten the chest strap by almost half it's length. If you're good with a needle and thread, or a glue gun (my weapon of choice), you can get a worthwhile result from this product and it's an inexpensive way to get the right look without any drawing or painting, on the other hand, if you have the skill to modify the costume (and plenty of time and patience) you could probably make a better version from scratch, but it would take a lot longer and by the time you've bought paint etc you won't save that much money either.

Costume was in perfect condition, and arrived promptly
Costume was in perfect condition, and arrived promptly. It will need something to lift up the back, and a shorted chin strap, but very detailed and well made.

Doesn't fit well at all
I bought this for our Doberman, and it needed so much retrofitting to keep it on, it's not really worth it in the long run. there's no chest strap to keep the costume on, and no stuffing/padding to keep the arch in the back up and no just floppy on the dogs back. Pretty much a waste of money but a really good costume idea. I think someone who is "handy" could alter it to work properly.
