Much like pre-workouts, whey protein is another category of dietary supplements that can be very misleading, even though it's the one that should be the least confusing. The problem is that far too many companies over-complicate them. One practice some companies use is adding ingredients that offer no real benefits, seemingly as an attempt to increase the price. Another practice is to add a significant amount of cheap amino acids to the protein powder. This is called "amino spiking." Taurine and glycine are the two amino acids that are most commonly added. Even though there is nothing inherently wrong with these amino acids, they are not supposed to be included in the amount of protein listed on the label when added separately. The listed amount of protein is only supposed to include the total amount of whey protein in the product, not separate amino acids. These companies add these amino acids with the purpose of inflating the amount of protein stated on the label. While it may allow them to sell their product at a cheaper price, it's very possible that the user isn't benefitting from even half the amount of protein they think they are. WheyForce is simple, effective, and very reasonably priced. Each flavor of WheyForce is sweetened with a natural flavored extract and stevia. We use an ultra-filtered whey protein because it reduces the lactose and cholesterol content of the protein. In addition to that, we don't spike our protein with excess amino acids so the user knows they are getting the full benefits of exactly what is stated on the label.
