Great product
Just moved to the Middle East and wanted to make sure the windows were blocking UV A. Bought the version with the UV A calibration. Works perfectly, even comes with details about calibration. Menu not super easy to navigate but i don’t really use all those functionalities anyway. The black handle shown in the picture comes in the box too, but you will require very small screwdriver to set it up (not in the box). It’s not attached to the reader. Battery is included. I recommend this product.

Nice, but not all UVA spectrum is covered. Still good for someone trying to avoid UVA/UVB exposure.
Some of UVA (and UVB) wavelengths are not covered. (Sensitive to some of UVA and some of UVB spectrum) Hopefully remaining coverage could be a reliable proxy.FIELD TESTS:I have tested sensor with regular transparent glass: value dropped by 35% or so. When testing various glasses with UV protection, value dropped 98%.Testing window light with some kind of film (came from the builder), value dropped 60-70%.Since negative control (regular non UVA-blocking glass) did not drop value of UV to 0, this device may be used reliably to aproximate UVA/UVB protection for glasses; measure UV levels indoors.

Great price on an accurate meter for UVA
I had cataracts and got a lens called LAL+. These are adjustable after you get LAL lenses put in. The problem is that they make you wear UV400 certified glasses until you get the vision updates locked in. This meter is perfect for measuring your glasses and for measuring your environment. The UV frequency you have to avoid with the LAL lenses is between 200 and 400 NM. Specifically 165NM. This meter makes life easy. Great price. With this meter you can buy any UV400 certified pair of glasses and make sure they meet spec.

Not sure what to trust?
The claims online and on the box say 280-400nm, while the provided paperwork states only 290-370nm.
