The description said that it would fit 1/2 inch. It was too big. I measured it and it was closer to 5/8.

did not work
It did not fir properly, would not stay on, and in my efforts to make it fit, damaged it, making it unavailable for return.

Fit Perfect
Wasn't sure if this would work on my Lane recliner since it wasn't the same brand but it fit perfect, was easy to install, and has worked great. No regrets.
