The quality, color and stitching is absolutely stunning! The base and the flag pole quality is also top-notch! Definitely costs a premium to buy this high quality, beautifully constructed flag MADE in the USA but it’s worth every penny. I’m so tired of companies not disclosing where their American flags are made or making it confusing to the American people to know if they are made in China. Some companies are deliberately deceiving the public. I highly recommend this flag and company. It’s an investment and I will have the flag to proudly display for many years to come. ORDER IT! High quality all the way! I was a bit concerned about the price of this kit compared to others, but decided to go for it. I am very glad I did. The flag is a quality sewn/embroidered flag (not printed with poor stitching). The pole itself is a single pole (not pieces) with a silver ball at the top. The flag slides up the sleeve and there is a small tab at the top that a clip at the top of the pole attaches too.. I spun it around and the flag stayed as it should (not wrapped around the pole). The mount was a cast silver adjustable mount. I chose to mount to a metal pole at the front of my house so had to get some 1" #12 self-tapping screws. It came with the more traditional plastic sleeve that you then screw into--but I didn't think that would work well on the metal pole. As my pole was white, I re-painted the mount white with auto spray paint prior to mounting (so it wouldn't be obvious when I wasn't flying this beautiful flag). I then touched up the screw heads with the paint and it's hardly noticeable. This kit also came with two clear plastic rings that slide over the pole and have a screw to hold them in place--no idea what for and the directions don't mention them. Also, on the inside of the cardboard is a handy list of days to fly your flag--some of which I had no idea (Army BD, Marine BD, and so on). I can't wait to fly this flag with pride tomorrow (4th of July)!

We live at the top of a hill and wind gusts frequently get above 30 MPH. Over the years, I have broken a number of flags for various reasons. First, it was bending poles, which I fixed by putting a wooden dowel inside the hollow aluminum flag pole. Then, it was breaking brackets, which could not take the force exerted on them from the flag being blown in the wind. I am certain that I broke 5 heavy duty metal brackets over the years. Amazing. Finally, I decided I needed to fly a smaller flag that would not catch as much wind. I really think this one is going to do the job, and I have only compromised a bit from a 3' x 5' flag. Further, I love the spinning pole and the over-the-pole flag design, as opposed to connecting the flag with metal clasps, which is more typical. I have found that the metal clasps rust and contribute to tangling of the flag over time. There is one leather loop hidden at the top of this flag which clips onto your metal pole clasp, but because of the way it is designed, you never see the metal clasp. It is inside of the sleeve that goes over your pole. The flag that comes with this set is very nicely designed with individually sewn stripes and nicely embroidered stars. I will fly it proudly and, I expect, for a very long time. If it fails me, I will report it in a future revision to this review.

Firstly, it was great to have the flag flying today, hard to believe 12 years have passed so quickly. So here are the pros and cons:PROS: The flag itself is really beautiful with its embroidered stars and stripes, the colors are vibrant, and it’s the perfect size for the front of the house. We had a very windy day today and the spinning pole design really proved itself – the flag remained completely untangled whereas I’m sure a conventionally mounted one would be a total mess. This feature alone justifies the higher price if you live in a windy area like I do. Installation was really easy, although I needed a special drill bit to mount the base into the mortar surrounding my brickwork.CONS: I actually received a damaged product initially – the flag pole is 5 feet long and it was bent in transit and actually broke into 2 pieces. Although the pole itself is pretty sturdy, they really should add some extra re-enforcement when shipping such a long thin item. Anyway, the Amazon exchange process worked brilliantly, and within a week a new undamaged product was on my doorstep. Also, I was really hoping that the entire product would be made in USA (as the product details clearly state) but it turns out that only the flag is made in USA and the mounting hardware is made in China. I guess that’s better than the other way around, but I think for this kind of item they should go to the extra effort to support local jobs, don’t you think? I’d pay an extra few bucks, for sure.Anyway, overall this is certainly worth the price. 4 out of 5 stars because of the few cons mentioned above.

This embroidered flag is classy looking. Just put it up so I can't speak to longevity, but it seems like it's quality-made. The pole is impressive. it spins so the wind will have less chance to wind the flag up. The spin allows the flag to right itself. The pole and the wall bracket are well worth it.
