Perception Expression 11.5 | Sit Inside Kayak | Light Touring Kayak with Adjustable Zone Seating

We got two of these kayaks last week and have been out on flat water twice already. The skeg works fantastically well for paddling in crosswinds. Lots of nice adjustments including how the seat angle can be changed, even while in the water. Great stylish coloring, looks just like the pictures you see here, makes us distinctive from other yaks on the water. We're looking forward to getting many years and adventures out of these. 2024 EDIT: It's been four great summers with these kayaks and we've taken them on quite a few adventures. The hulls are really tough; a couple of scrapes from river rocks and maybe a few scratches from transporting in the back of the pickup. But otherwise they look and work like new. We get compliments from time-to-time on their colorful patterns. If I had to buy more kayaks I'd still go with this model, or maybe a shorter version by Perception. Great brand, great yaks.

This is my favorite kayak yet. I’m able to carry it by myself even though it is 11 1/2 feet long. I’m only 5 feet tall and the kayak weighs 44 pounds and is relatively easy to carry on your shoulder for short distance. Tracks nicely and is very comfortable. I would highly recommend this kayak.

The kayak ordered was not at all like the kayak received. Different model, 2 1/2 feet shorter, much wider. Pretty much a $200 Walmart kayak received (Paid $800).

I bought this kayak to maintain my cardio fitness while repairing my destroyed knee. It has pretty manageable size and weight and quite stable on water. It definitely is faster and has better tracking than cheaper rented kayaks, however I have only limited experience with kayaks. The kayak arrived on time with no packaging and with some deep scratches.

Terrible communication between Amazon and CEVA , which is a courier for delivery large items like kayak. CEVA sets delivery appointment or cancel it without Amazon knowing that! First delivery that was set on February 6, 2021 failed and after multiple calls to Amazon and CEVA, I set the appointment on February 22, 2021. The is far away from being hassle free purchase! At the end, the kayak was received damaged! From picture taken on received kayak, there are indications of not original factory packaging. Most likely it was returned, and I wouldn't be surprised for the same reason of being damaged and resold to me. Awful experience! Took a picture of kayak damaged and barcode serial number and requested replacement. Hope to receive a brand new kayak, not a return item.

I love this kayak, it has so many great features. The foot rests are adjustable, as are the seat and knee pads. You can really optimize your position for paddling. The skeg is also a great bonus, I can't imagine not having one - it helps so much with stability and staying on course. The kayak was delivered on time and in great shape. The photo is not my kayak, which is the Funkadelic color scheme (love!) but it's the same model. I've padded in lakes, rivers, and open water in it.
