Selamica Porcelain 8-inch Square Dinner Plates, Salad Pasta Bowls, Set of 6, Vintage Blue

I bought these as a gift for my mother. She liked them so much that I subsequently purchased additional sets of bowls and plates. She loves the size, shape, designs and colors. They are rather heavy and appear sturdy and well made.

These are very nice bowls. I like that there are 6 different patterns. They are dishwasher and microwave safe. Very well packaged and fast shipping. The vendor will work with you if there are any problems.

I've been using these pasta plates for EVERYTHING. The size with the upturned sides is ideal for anything that has a sauce on top or that could roll off a typical plate. Also, the vivid, bright blue and off-white patterns really catch the eye. Oh! And the thickness of the dishes is astonishing. That's the kind of thing you just can never tell when you order something online. These are heavy duty, not light weight or flimsy at all! I'm incredibly impressed. Plus, they came packaged extremely thoughtfully. No chance of chips or broken plates. I've read that people have had issues with these dishes (or maybe it was other kinds in the series) breaking in the microwave. I haven't had that problem, but I really have only put any of them in the microwave a couple of times. I can however, confidently say that I've had zero problems running them repeatedly through the dishwasher. (Well... there's a caveat to that also.... our dishwasher doesn't get crazy hot, FYI.) Anyway, these are my first purchase from this company but I will definitely be ordering more to match. I'm planning to add whatever I get to my off-white squared off dinner and dessert plates for a table setting that's not too busy but where the blue and white plates really get to stand out. I just wish they sold more baking and serving dishes in this pattern. It's perfect for every day use as well as a for a fun dinner party.

I love these bowls! They are wonderful for pasta, stews and they are great in the microwave. I liked them so much that I ordered the matching 10” plates and 11 oz bowls. Great quality and the patterns are beautiful.

I love these dishes. Perfect size for most meals. Lovely pattern. I just wish they weren’t so heavy. But I guess I should have expected that since they are ceramic.

These Selamica Porcelain 8-inch Square Dinner Plates are just what I wanted. They're better than a flat dinner plate because the higher edges will keep food on the plate better. They're very colorful and vibrant. Dishwasher and microwave safe.
