Prince writes, directs and stars in this rock musical sequel. In Minneapolis, The Kid (Prince) has taken co-ownership of the Grand Slam nightclub, where he also performs. However, the other half of the club was willed to The Kid's rival Morris (Morris Day). Hoping to gain sole ownership of Grand Slam, Morris uses his other clubs in the Seven Corners area to try and steal The Kid's customers and force him into giving up his share. Their rivalry is complicated further by the arrival of an angel named Aura (Ingrid Chavez) who tries to make the pair set aside their differences and lead better lives. However, they are still inevitably drawn into a final musical battle for control of the club.

I love the movie the only problem is that it doesn't work in all DvD players. the movie was brand new and once I found 1 to play it in it works and shows great. I got it in good time and it was worth the price. I will order from this place again and I have recommended it to other Prince fans. Thank you Tamika for telling me about it J.Kelley

I could not play this dvd on any of my 3 dvd players. No picture a pop up saying wrong region. Can i get another copy or my money back.

not a great achievement
Not a great movie unfortunately... The plot resembles a lot to the one of PURPLE RAIN but here it doesn't really works. Everything looks fake and cheap - including the acting. There is still the beauty of Ingrid Chavez to watch and some good songs to listen to (Thieves in the Temple, Question of U, Joy in Repetition and some others) but it's not a great achievement. This film is rather for Prince's hard-core fans and it has to be seen with some smiling distance.
