Have Fun, Molly Lou Melon : Lovell, Patty, Catrow, David: desertcart.in: Books Review: Buy it! We kept renewing it from the library and finally bought it. Glad we did Review: My four year old loves the first Molly Lou Melon book and we have read it over and over. It's a great story and I highly recommend it, particularly for any child who needs a self-confidence boost. I was very happy to see this sequel. It is written in a similar style to the first book but this book is all about using your imagination instead of counting on fancy toys or television for entertainment. My daughter has begun asking for this one as well. I was also pleasantly surprised to see that Gertie, the girl who moves in next door, uses crutches. Nice inclusion of a special needs child without making a big deal about it, which I appreciate as my daughter uses a wheelchair. Kudos to the author and we will definitely be looking for more Molly Lou books in the future.

My daughter remembers reading one of the Molly Lou books from her elementary classroom. She said "It's a good book," and she is right. The illustrations are adorable and really engage. The storyline is one I enjoyed - appreciation for what you have and imagination to fill in for what you do not.
