Orthopaedic Nurses Certification Exam Secrets Study Guide: ONC Test Review for the Orthopaedic Nurses Certification Examination

I do not recommend this book. There are so many typos that I have a hard time understanding what it is trying to say. It obviously skipped the editors desk. Seriously, multiple typos in every paragraph. The information is so basic that I feel like I'm back in a Jr High biology class. Nothing in here is going to help me pass a National Certification Exam. The book skips from subject to subject so often, I have no idea what the "alternative therapies" are supposed to be for because it was just talking about hip osteoarthritis and back pain within the same subheading and on the same page. Do not waste your money.

This is a good book and there are several sections that I wasn't aware of the information, but there is a lot of repetition between this book and the flashcards. The flashcards are a little flimsy, but laminating them should take care of that!

This book is terrible. The information is rudimentary and largely outdated. It was apparently never proofread which not only detracts from the information but also a solid reason to NOT pay more than $5 for this junk. I stopped reading it after about 20 pages. It will not help you pass the ONC. If you are going to pay good money for a prep book, buy the one from the certification board. I took the certification exam and the questions on it are much more complex than the ones in this book.

Some good information is in this book, but a lot of the study questions at the end are about topics not even mentioned in the book. Also, WAY too many typos; the kind that can flip flop your thought process on a topic and get you really confused. Definitely needs more adequate editing. I would not rely on this as my sole means of studying for the ONC exam, and in retrospect, for this price, I probably wouldn't buy it again.

I did find that I needed some supplemental info regarding some of the topics as they are fairly short for some sections. But the outline of topics was great. Used mostly just this book and passed my ONC on my first attempt. Repurchased this book for an orthopedic unit of nurses studying for their onc exam

This book has been simple to read and understand along with a practice test to help me review and practice test concepts. This makes looking at a textbook less intimidating since it has broken down topics for me already. Thank you for a great book.

I've only just received this product a couple days ago but after reading through a good portion of it, I can tell it's going to be a helpful resource. It seems to highlight the important topics and simplify the subjects present on the exam. I did notice some grammatical errors which lowered the rating to a 4/5 in my opinion

This is a good book with helpful info on Ortho and how to prepare for the certification test.
