Mastering Django

A princípio o nome "Mastering" pode espantar quem está iniciando no Django, mas o livro não exige mais conhecimento prévio do que aqueles que possuem "Beginning" no título. A grande diferença desta obra é que ela aborda os assuntos de maneira mais aprofundada, trata de forma exaustiva o template-view-model. Assim, é um livro direcionado para quem pretende participar de grandes projetos em Django ou tornar-se um profissional no uso do framework. Quem tem por objetivo simplesmente criar um blog, é melhor procurar um livro mais básico. Em suma, se você quer se aprofundar na tecnologia, não há uma opção atualizada mais completa no mercado.

I learned Python during quarantine and decided I'd like to make some websites using Django. I tried some Udemy videos to learn Django and they were helpful but I wasn't fully understanding what I was learning. Sure, if I typed what the instructor typed I got the same result, but I didn't know why I was typing what I was typing. In fact, I was about ready to give up on learning Django. However, I decided to take a gamble on this book. Mastering Django connected all the dots for me so I actually understood how to use Django to build a website. I consider this book to be 100% essential if you've never done web development before. Huge thanks to the author for writing an excellent book.

This is a truly fabulous book for anyone familiar with python and programming.I bought it a few months ago and was impressed by the way it is organised and easy to follow so that you can quickly find what you need.I’ve now come back to it again for a project I am building and the depth of information is quite staggering.I now have a good grasp of Django models and inheritance along with building mixins and overriding models.Highly recommended.

Bien pour quelqu'un qui veut faire un tour à peu près complet de Django à travers quelques projets, pour débuter. Mais ce livre suit une mode agaçante qui consiste à promener le lecteur dans un parcours touristique sans jamais approfondir. Trop de chapitres finissent par "Pour en savoir plus, consultez la documentation officielle", merci ! D'accord un livre ne peut pas tout contenir, mais là c'est quand même succin, malgré la taille du livre, très verbeux. Même des choses assez basiques comme la gestion des permissions ne sont qu'effleurées.Bref, très déçu, le titre du livre en promettait plus. Bien pour débuter, mais presque inutile si vous cherchez une "bible" à garder sous le coude.

I have read two previous books on django that gave me some idea about the framework but left a lot of questions. This is the first book I have read that clears up nearly every angle and question I had about how this framework ultimately functions. The chapter 3 overview of django in this book is worth the cost of the book.
