Hi im a cosmetologist & The it's a 10 leave in conditioner does have a heat protection in it. This one is a creamer thicker substance so it's typically for people with very frizzy & dry hair. Hope this helped!

It has a think consistency like lotion.

Q: Is this heat activatied ?

No it is not heat activated. It is a conditioner with keratin. If your hair is color treated it keeps the color from fading.

Q: I've not been able to get an answer from the manufacturer. This product has heat protection, but to what degree? 450 degrees? Or 5 degrees?

I use it with a regular hair dryer and it is fine.
