There’s a ton of negative reviews on this and upset people. But the folded paper that comes in the box with the product, states everything all of these negative reviews are talking about.*THE PRODUCT IS NOT WATERPROOF. It’s water resistant. And the paper states it’s ok to shower with it, but to not have too much water get on it.*THE PRODUCT MAY MAKE YOUR SKIN RED. It says it’s ok if the product makes your skin a little red. It says to stop using it if it blisters your skin. It says for best results, when it’s time to take it off, don’t put a new one on for 12-24 hours.*THE PRODUCT INSTRUCTIONS SAY IT MAY NOT STAY ON A FULL 10 DAYS. It depends on where your scar is located. If it’s in a high tension area, or located in an area where friction is often caused, it might not last a full 10 days.*IT TELLS YOU HOW TO REMOVE PRODUCT.Do it in the shower or where you can run warm water with soap to gently peel it over on itself, you need to be careful as it’s supposed to adhere to your skin and ripping it off like a bandaid can hurt your skin, or rip your skin.Personally, for my use, I had a mini tummy tuck. I used this product and it lasted 3 days for me the first time’s use. The next morning, my skin was slightly red in some parts, but not all. I kept it off for 2 days and in those days, I applied a scar gel/cream instead. The reviews that people show the results, have amazing results. So I will continue using this. But read the damn paper people.

Doesn’t stay on, not worth the high price tag
I really wanted to like these strips. They were recommended by a colleague and i was looking forward to not having to apply silicone cream twice a day and staining my clothes. Unfortunately, these strips just don’t stay on. I followed ALL of the instructions to the letter and applied all three strips to my abdomen. I am wearing a compression girdle, so the strip was firmly in place. A day later I steppd into a shower and the strip just slid off under the water. I thought maybe it was user error, so applied the remaining three strips after thoroughly cleaning and drying my skin, the strips lasted less than two days. So the “30-day supply” lasted 4 days. These strips cost a ridiculous amount of money for what they are —pre-cut silicone tape with a “fancy” application method.

Finally something working for my port scar!
My port scar widened in the six months the port was in, even constantly using silicone strips. After the port was removed and the scar revised, it was starting to widen again.I've only used Embrace for ten days so far but just yesterday I started noticing a visible difference in it, with it fading and not widening more.Compared to other scar strips, it is way more convenient since I don't have to keep removing and washing it. It does start coming off the skin before the requisite ten days, but since it is still on there even if it's barely attached, I think it still works to support the skin, even if it isn't holding it fully closed.I also have fairly sensitive skin - allergic to most bandaids, tegaderm, steri strips, all types of paper tape, rock tape - and it has only had a very mild reaction.Since I'm not worried about hypertrophic scarring and the scar is fully closed, my main concern was just to find tape that would provide enough tension and not irritate my skin so it seems to be doing that job.If you're not allergic, probably rock tape would be sufficient and a LOT cheaper. Steri strips placed perpendicular to the scar would also support it adequately (I read a study specifically on this). However, these are not options for me.

Excellent results, terrible applicator system
The product works unquestionably well when used correctly. However the application process is terrible. It would be improved 100% with simple double sided tape a la tegaderm. 3 of the 4 strips we've used didn't open properly and I had to apply it manually. Only the first worked properly (perfectly) It is far too expensive to have to deal with such issues. Meaning, if it gets screwed up during application, there is no second chance to use any of that strip. Still no one can argue the final results are amazing. The scar looks amazing.

Do not buy this product
If I can give this a zero I would . I waited until my tt scar has healed and closed to apply this . 3 strips came in my packet in which I had to use all three at one time to cover my tt scar . I cleaned the area after a shower and followed all the directions. I applied the product on and 12 hours later it fell off. On top of that it gave me a nasty rash. I tried to return it and my return window closed on oct 3 . 10 days ago. What a waste of money , I really hope they reach out so that I have an option to return this product. It is not right for someone to spend this much money for less than a day product .On top of that it’s not like I can try the other strips since I had to use all three at the same time ( thinking it would last me 10 plus days ) .Terrible product . I never leave reviews but I felt the need to do so for this one .
