Vico Marine Support Pole + Boat Vent 2

I bought a cover here on Amazon that advertised ventilation pockets, which it does, but they are far back near the stern and the flaps let in zero air flow. During a heavy rain the center collapsed and got water in the boat. The storage manager was nice enough to pull the cover tight again, however it trapped in all the moisture and mold grew mold everywhere. This Vico Pole + Vent is exactly what I needed. It keeps the top from collapsing and the integrated vent allows the moisture to escape. I was concerned about cutting a hole in the fabric, but the design has small "spikes" to grip the fabric and it locks down tight. I used 2, bow and stern so now the top won't fail in a heavy rain and air moves easily without letting in water. Excellent product!

I ordered two of the pole and vent sets for a new Amazon Basics generic boat cover I purchased at the same time. I placed one in the middle of the open bow and another Midway between windshield and stern. Installation was simple, I just put on the cover, centered it, and pulled it tight. With a sharpie, the precut fabric swatch Vico provides (using it as a template), I marked holes where I want the vents. I pulled the canvas loose, cut the holes out and with a little shoe goo or rubber cement around the perimeter of the hole, I bonded the swatch under the fabric and installed the vent. This will help reduce risk of the hole ripping open. BTW, they do provide nice instructions on vent install. The Boat Vent II they provide in the kit is a very good vent! And you may find several examples where Vico's kit is cheaper than buying the vent by itself. Plus their pile is very nice and durable. The quick release clamp is perfect imo.Hey, it arrived faster than I expected too, and beat the delivery of my cover I order using Prime!! This vent and pole work good but the vent needs to be glued to cover. Mine kept coming lose.

These are great! We made our own pontoon boat cover and they are universal so they adjust accordingly from smaller to bigger The vents are the best thing that we did. None of our stuff regardless of how humid it is outside with all the rain we've had over the last several weeks, the boat seats and storage is not full of water or humidity! Best investment ever!! It even came with a template to cut out the vents and was extremely easy! Highly recommend

I had 3 that just collapsed under 3" of snow. Worked fine for rainThe plastic locks held the load but the tubing collapsed. Would recommend X3 wall thickness.

We just bought a 20 ft pontoon boat and quickly realized we needed some what to get the water to flow off the tarp … before installing this cap/pole system my tarp was acting like a raging catches swimming pool. The vented cap system is super easy to install and comes with a protective piece of material that inserts between the caps that screwed into position. The pole design is good in the at is fully adjustable and the too if the pole fits snuggly into the cap base as the dimensions of the top of the pole mate perfectly with the cap … not sloppy fit … the pole won’t accidentally slide out of the cap once inserted. I ordered four (4) poles and I’m glad for my 20’ pontoon boat as I think three would have been too few. The poles are separated by about 40”.

Good, sturdy poles. Have used in heavy rain for months now. No issues.
