This Peter Grimm straw cowboy hat is very nice quality and well made. The fit was perfect, comfortable, and true to size. The straw feels durable, the color is true to the description and the hat holds its shape well while still being lightweight enough to wear for long periods. It looks stylish and versatile and works great for casual wear or outdoor activities. Overall, this is a solid, well-crafted hat that looks good and feels good to wear.

So, although it is black it's not super hot because the weave is not super tight. It has a built-in elastic-style headband, which not only keeps perspiration out of your eyes, but it also allows for a flexible size range when it come to fit. Most fitted hats with an interior headband, fit one size and one size only... Not this hat, which makes it fit equally well whether you're head is shaved or you have a thick mop of hair, or even if you like to wear a bandanna under your hat... this hat, in most cases will still fit comfortably. Unfortunately, because these Grimm hats are made of a wider weave straw they're not as durable as say a tight-weaver harder hat... an nowhere near as durable as hats made from felt, leather, etc. But otherwise, it's an awesome hat for the money!

This is a great hat. I feel like a Mexican cowboy when I wear this hat. My wife calls me Charro when I wear the hat. You too can become a charro if you buy this hat.

Great looking and feeling hat. I like the darker straw of it for sure. Only two slight displeasing qualities with it that I've noticed. First - it's 'one size fits all.' but when I bought it I am PRETTY POSITIVE that the item was listed as a large. It still fits me well though so it doesn't get docked much for that. Second - it's a little more fragile than I hoped it would be. I know I know, it's straw. But even the most minor abrasions seems to pull out at least a few strands. I don't have very high hopes for this hat lasting through much wear as a result. All said though it looks GREAT and it really keeps the sun off me. I shave my head so with no hair, it fits my 57 3/4 head very comfortably. If it surprises me and lasts longer than I am thinking it will, I might buy another in a few years. *Update* I've been wearing this hat for half a year and I love it more than I did when I got it. The wire in the brim makes it adjustable and easy to change the shape of. It's comfortable, keeps the sun off me, and is standing up well to regular use. I gave it +1 start for all that. Good job, hat.

I LOVE this hat! It's great looking, fits like a glove, couldn't be happier!

Hat is more shallow than I thought. It wears like a baseball cap where the material is snug to top of head. This makes it warmer on the head than I wanted or that I am used to with this style hat. Sizing is on the high side of medium. My head is a large but this material quality is not the best, so I expect it to stretch out pretty quick and hope then it will fit well.

Got this for my hubby who was wanting something fun for the summer. Men don’t usually get compliments on their outfits so when he got one almost every time he wore it, you know it is a great buy!

Kept the sun off the top of my head during vacation in Mexico. So the hat came quickly and did what it was supposed to do. I am sure the hat had nothing to do with the perfect weather in Mexico, so I can't give it credit for that. Regardless, the hat fit, and it made it back in one piece, ready for the next trip. The last one made four trips; we will see how far this one goes.

The photos of the hat show a slight tea-stain or distressed, faded look. In reality the hat is solid brown. Not natural straw but just brown, no fading or tea stained look. I was disappointed when it arrived because it didn’t match my expectations but it’s grown on me. It’s light, very breathable, keeps my neck out of the sun.
