ARESGAME Power Supply 550W 80+ Bronze Certified PSU (AGW550)

This power supply is very solid for its price point. It has enough connectors to connect a few hard drives/ ssds and a powerful gpu. I'm currently running a xeon and a gtx 770 on this and everything runs well. It is really quiet and gets the job done.Pros:Really solid packaging. You could probally drop this from space and it would survive the crash.Free mousepad included. Just complete a survey on their website to receive it.Best new PSU for around 40 dollars. You could probally find a used PSU from amazon warehouse but it only comes up like once every 6 months. This is a great alternative.Great customer support. Fast and clear response.I've run this PSU for over 500 hours and its still as good as new.Cons:Its a bit inconvenient but I find that the fans grow louder if I don't clean out the dust. This is easy for me but if you don't have a PSU dust filter, this may become a problem.Overall, this is a very solid power supply. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a long term power supply that will get the job done with ease.Recommendation score: A-

I used this PSU to replace the stock supply from my old Dell XPS system. I needed something that would better handle the requirements of a newer graphics card and the AGW550 more than met my requirement. It went in easily and without much issue. The only thing to watch is the large motherboard connector (24 pin) is actually 2 connectors. I thought I had seated it correctly, but after I got a warning beep the first test run, I made sure it was secure and it worked perfectly. If you just push in the connector from both ends, the area where the longer connector meets the 4 pin connector does not fully seat.

I enjoy that this unit comes with both an 8 pin and 4+4 pin EPS plug for motherboards with more than just an 8 pin. The unit works just fine and provides ample power for an affordable cost. I was skeptical as I had never heard of the brand before but it works like a charm and saved money over going with a name brand like EVGA

it is a good product for its price. if you are not aiming for super high-end computer, or just need a power supply, this would do the job.

Bought the AGW550 to support an XFX RX560 in an HP Z230 workstation. The original PS would not longer boot the PC with the card in because it was drawing too much power on startup. The card's minimum recommended power supply is 400W. As HP motherboards use a proprietary 18 pin plug, I picked up a 24 to 18 pin adapter and the AGW550 at the same time. I chose the 550W over the 500W for a little extra headroom. The price difference was a couple of dollars and worth is. Still under $45 for a 55W power supply that seems to be fairly substantial.

I've bought AresGame Power supplies for Gaming machine builds for about a year. I have never had a machine come back to my shop for a power supply issue. I use Aresgame power Supplies in my Gaming machines and have not had any power issues. They are well maid, the all-black cables are a plus. They are packaged very well and each comes with power supply testers that allow you to run the power supply without a motherboard which is good for Miners, or anyone who needs to test a water cooling loop. A+ product I highly recommend.

1st time buyer of this brand. Packaged very well! Nothing ground breaking about this PSU but its great for what I got it for. The price was perfect at 550w vs other brands at the same price with only 500w. Felt safe getting a psu with a little extra juice just incase. Edit: after some time with this psu. Install was very easy with the nice flexible cords! It gets the job done and its nice a quiet! I cannot recommend it enough!

I got this PSU on prime day for 33 bucks, even though I never heard of the brand but why not.The box is very well package and the PSU itself look very well build. quite heavy too.so far it handle my setup just fine and it is very quiet. feels like it is a much more expansive unit than what i pay for.
