I don't know what sort of magical quality this thing has, but if a co-worker walks into my office, they are drawn to this thing like it's the last Twinkie on earth. They will literally play with this thing and be so distracted they won't hear a word I say. I've come close multiple times to having to physically remove people from my office to stop playing with it. It's a little dude that spins on top of a pole! They look at it as if it's like they're seeing fire for the first time. It's as if once they spin him, they're just dying to see him fall off, like it's actually going to happen, like the laws of gravity might somehow change just for a moment, just enough to make him fall off the pole when that is absolutely never going to happen. But they can't look away! They might miss it! Do you now understand why I have almost had to physically drag people out of my office? If at any time in the middle of the day, while I was sitting in my office, I just yelled out, "he fell!" I'd have nine people trampling over each other running to my office to see how he fell.

This is exactly what I was looking for to put on my desk. It is quite small, but that’s what I wanted. It comes in pieces and you’ll think it’s not going to go together well because the post is pretty cheap, but the base is heavy and it goes together just fine. It does work! Inexpensive little gadget, fun, good conversation piece. If you are giving as a gift think about putting it together first.

The media could not be loaded. Beautiful for the desk in workplace. We all keep balancing ourselves with so many things in life it makes us realize we should not fall and get demotivated and keep things moving till it gets stabilized.Must buy !

Product is great for a gift! It's cheap! The product will balance as it should but it appears like it can rock off the stand. The balance rocks back and forth for maybe a minute then it stops. I recommend buying for a good office gift.

I have this on my desk at work and my coworkers can't go by without stopping and playing with it. Fun.

Very nice, relaxing and affordable toy. I used it to explain my kids how physic's laws work in action. (not to sound nerdy) and they understood the concept of G-force, synergy, etc.

I like the size for a desk and it demonstrates the need to keep a balance work and personal life.
