Lousy double face tape!
I have bought AVS products for years. Never have I seen them use such crappy tape. I have bought vent visors, sill guards, aero skins, and hood guards and never had a problem with the 3M tape. When you try to peel the backer off these step shields it just kept breaking off the adhesive. Luckily I had some good 3M tape on hand and replaced all the tapes. A problem that should never had happened. If I ever buy more AVS products and it comes with this white backed tapes, they will be returned pronto. DON'T CHEAP OUT! AVS should send me a roll of 3M tape to replace what I had to use of my own.

Tape on these is unusable
The tape that comes applied to these is not usable. you cannot get the white film offto apply the tape. It will only come off in tiny little pieces. I would up throwing these away because i had cut them to size before realizing the issue with the tape. Save your money and look elsewhere.

Universal door step shields 2004 Expedition
With some trimming and time these worked just fine on my 2004 Expedition. 1 1/2 hours for initial fit-up with the additional store bought two sided tape then 30 minutes for screws installation the next weekend. It took 2 packs of step shields to have enough for all 4 doors on the SUV. Trim off the 90 degree lip then trim to length with sharp scissors, slowly, using masking tape as a guide edge on the under side of the shield. Set in the sun for a while for prior bending to fit then install plenty of tape to the shield. Two strips of 1/2" wide on each flat surface of the step shield then set onto Suv. Always clean surfaces to be taped with rubbing alchohol and a lint free wipe first. I had to add self tapping screws to help hold them in place since the tape was not enough on all edges. They would lift up a little. 8 black screws in each front door shield and 6 in each rear door shield. Equally spaced and near the edges. Tap the screw into place, remove and apply clear silicone glue to hole then reinstall the screw. Do not over tighten. I used a drill to tap the screws only and then a screwdriver by hand to tighten. Not a problem and makes them look more fractory and safer. I'm really happy with the finished job.

Add a couple more strips double sticky tape
Been looking everywhere for sill protectors for 2019 chevy colorado .All i've found was chrome or aluminum with cutouts.Found these that work pretty good ,must trim length and width -The lip part was close.A little pricey for what thy are-Must purchase another set for back doors.Don't understand why one of these companies don't sell a custom fit for my truck ,only a gazillion colorados on the road

WIll certainly do the job.
They do not have the pattern stamped in them that is shown in the picture. they are vertical lines that run parallel with length and look like a series of hyphens, which is actually nicer. I have not installed yet but I will for sure get some more 3m tape for them as there is only one narrow strip running the length. They are definitely long enough and wide enough to fit any vehicle I can think of. There is plenty of material there for the needed trimming to fit. I should be pretty happy once its all done.

Plastic over adhesive is OLD, won't peel off!
The plastic that protects the adhesive is a royal pain to get off. It's very brittle and won't peel off. I had a roll of 3M double sided emblem tape that I used instead of spending HOURS trying to remove the small pieces that would break off trying to remove their protective cover! Otherwise the item itself is basically plastic, not rubber like at all.Could be quite slippery when wet or snowy. Decent design, decent looking for a step plate.

Cheaply made. Adhesive is garbage.
Flimsy cheap made product. The double sided adhesive is garbage. Comes off in a million pieces. Would take all day to peel off. Might as well plan on buying a large roll of 3M double sided tape to install these.

Generic size door sill protector
This has a slight curve on one edge, which just happens to fit the 2013 Accord door sill perfectly. It just needed to be cut for length, and trimmed with a utility knife for depth. Each piece is 30", I used about 18" front door, 12" rear door, so one kit does the whole car.It looks very nice, better than the aluminum color Honda part, and 1/4 the price.
