No batteries or CO2 required. Simply remove the loading cartridge from the Magnum Blaster, remove the caps from the cartridge, load with paintballs and replace the caps. Reload the cartridge to the Magnum Blaster, point the shooter at the ground and lift the power lever until it clicks. so much fun
We bought these for boys that are 6 and 8 and they love them! We set up the targets in the back yard and they shot the pellets for hours. The paint is great, as it washes off the concrete, fence, etc., with only water. We are awaiting our refill pellets so they can go at it again!

Horrible
My mother purchased two of these for my boy boys, ages 7 and 8, for Christmas. I then purchased the replacement paintballs so that the boys wouldn't run out on Christmas morning. The paintballs came with most of them busted. They arrived a day before Christmas Eve so I was forced to keep them, for maybe 50 of them were useable. Then when my boys openned the guns, they didn't even work. The paintballs don't shoot, they just roll out of the barrels. I've tried to return them for a month now and am still getting the run around. I would not recommend them at all!!!
