Works fine. ✦✦ Here are some tips for getting the right screws for your monitor. ✦✦
This adapter kit does exactly what it is supposed to do.Folks who are having problems with it either don't understand how to install it (the instructions are merely exploded drawings), and/or are throwing a tantrum because the kit doesn't come with fasteners for their TV/monitor, just the fasteners for the adapter itself. Boo Hoo.Here's an explanation of what you actually need. All of the measurements and fastener sizes are metric.I used this kit to adapt from a VESA 100 mm x 100 mm mounting plate on this articulating arm clamp mount: Mount-It! Articulating Single Arm Computer Monitor Desk Mount for 27-Inch Monitors (MI-751) to this 32" TV: Sceptre X325BV-FHD 32-Inch 1080p 60Hz LCD HDTV (Black) , which has VESA 200mm x 100mm spaced holes.A quick nomenclature clarification. The "mount" is what you need to attach your monitor/TV to. You already have this. It might be a wall mount, desk stand, or a mount that clamps to the edge of a desk and then has an arm so you can move the monitor around where you want it, like mine. The "mount plate" is the part of the mount with the screw holes that directly attaches to your monitor (if it fits). The "adapter" is this kit of four brackets. So you have the mount with the mount plate, then the adapter, then the monitor, connected in that order. The kit only comes with the screws and lock nuts to connect the adapter arms to your too-small mount plate. These screws are M5's. THEY WON'T FIT the holes in the monitor, so don't even bother. Someone in the comments said that they drilled out the holes in the monitor and threaded them for the M5 screws, which if true, was a stunningly, err, inefficient and counter-productive move on his part. /facepalmFigure out the correct orientation of the arms to extend your smaller mount plate (here's where the diagram helps). The wide ends of the adapter arms attach to the mount plate with the M5 screws and nuts. Face the bent side of the long narrow part toward the monitor. The bend in the arms gives you clearance for the heads of the M5 screws, keeping them off the back of the monitor. All the holes and slots in the adapter arms are a little too big so you'll have plenty of slop to make sure you can get all the holes lined up. This is a good thing. There is a ton of confusion amongst the low raters about the size of the screws required to attach the adapter arms to the monitor itself. If your mount is a 75mm x 75mm or 100mm x 100mm, it probably came with M4 screws to mount into a smaller monitor. Check and see if those screws will fit the holes in your bigger monitor. If they do, you're set. But they will probably be too small, because the VESA standard for 200mm x 200mm mount plates specifies M6 screws. My 200mm x 100mm TV also required M6's.This kit comes with neither M4 screws, nor M6 screws. If your mount didn't come with the correct screws for the monitor, you'll be making a quick trip to the hardware store. CHECK YOUR MONITOR'S USER MANUAL for the max length of the screws. THIS IS IMPORTANT. And it's probably the primary reason the kit does not include the monitor screws. The adapter manufacture has no idea what screws your specific monitor needs. My specs were M6 x 18mm. DO NOT BUY screws longer than your monitor manual suggests because you can screw them in too deep and possibly damage internal components of the monitor. Buy four of the appropriate screws, and four washers. At the fastener display in the store you'll be looking for "Metric Machine Screws". You don't need stainless. I used fender washers because they are much bigger around (large outer diameter with a small hole), and that helps make sure you have a nice big clamping surface where the screw pushes through the slots in the adapter arms. (This could be overkill, regular washers will work fine.) If you don't know what a fender washer is, ask the customer service person at the hardware store. They look like this: Crown Bolt 20100 1/4 Inch x 1-1/4 Inch Zinc-Plated Steel Fender Washers, 100-Count . Except you don't need 100 of them...The washers do not need to be metric, just make sure your M4 or M6 screw fits through the hole without a lot of slop.Once again DO NOT USE THE SCREWS THAT COME WITH THIS KIT in the holes on the monitor. Buy the correct screws for your monitor. You can pick them up before the adapter kit even arrives if you follow these tips.Ignore the naysayers. Use the right fasteners for the job. Be patient. All will be right with the world. Or at least with your properly mounted monitor.

Worked well for me.
I used these to adapt the same brand of wall mount which I have been using for a 32" TV with a 100x100 VESA mount. My new TV is a 43" with 200x200. This worked well but I did need to purchase new screws to mount this to the tv because the screws provided with the new tv were not long enough to work.

quality product-if needed buy
Actually I ordered this size by mistake for a bracket I already had from VideoSecu. The extension I needed had to be larger(my bad measuring TV)but without opening it I knew it was a solid well made piece by feel knowing VideoSecu makes decent TV brackets with good price. I did end ordering the right size later.

Great adapter but you may need your own screws/bolts
Bought this to use with a monitor stand that was VESA 100x100 that I wanted to use to mount a 40" TV with VESA 200x200 holes. It more or less works perfectly - it's definitely sturdy enough, and easy to assemble. For the money, it's a great adapter. The only con is that it doesn't include VESA 200x200 size bolts, so you will need to use your own (I had to go buy some). Also, the bolts for the 100x100 side of the adapter are not very long, and you may need to use your own (longer) bolts, as I did.But for the money, the need to acquire/use some of your own bolts isn't a big deal.

Solved my problem
Solved my mounting problems for a 27" LG monitor who's screw mounts were 100x200. The plate that came with the mounting arm ran into some problems because the holes were too small initially. I debated going to a hardware store and getting the right size, but having a dremel tool on hand I just bored out the holes slightly to make the screws that came with it fit cleanly through the enlarged holes. Took me about 10 minutes all told and only because I was being a bit overly cautious. Once that was done, figuring out how to orient the 4 arms involved a little trial and error as what seemed like the better fit turned out not to be due to the molding on the back of my monitor. But once I had that figured out, it went quick and smooth, the extender arms secured the backplate to the monitor snugly and solved my problem for a lot less than many competitors were asking for.Now that said, there are differences in the screws that you should be mindful of, if you did like I did and read Plutarch's top spot review in full, you'll have everything you need to know before these brackets show up in your mailbox and minimize any frustrations in the process.

Caveat Emptor!
This is not what you may (or I did) think it is. I need to attach a computer panel (i.e., VESA 100) to a larger "TV" type VESA mount (i.e., a mount that services VESA 200x200 or larger). What this product is is simply a parts kit for a SING LE manufacturer's VESA 100 *mount* to allow it to grow to mount a VESA 200x100 or 200x200 device. Not only is that fitment a 1/10,000 sort of need, it's DANGEROUS! Since most small VESA mounts have other design limitations that could not stand up to the added weight of a large device. If your need is like mine DO NOT buy this product. If you need to mount a large device to a small mount and the mount you have is not for the specific (unknown) manufacturer DO NOT buy this product, either.

Huge holes
So unless your mount has M6 holes (or larger) and the TV/screen you intend to mount uses M8s this might not work for you. From actually getting this in hand, I can tell you that the holes on mount side - with the provided bolts and nuts) were bigger than the ones on my mount's plate - although they did line up. I'm not about to drill out the holes on my mount to match in size -- which is what it would need for these extension bars to work. The slotted parts (which you would use to put the bolts to the screen through) had better be huge, or else you would need to get washers to go with the bolts (or use larger head bolts - 10mm or something bigger)…. Needless to say, it's not what I was intending for so I returned these. But hey, if you have a large screen and a mount whose holes are bigger then these are for you.On the plus side, I did feel like they would be strong enough to hold a bigger screen… just wasn't what I needed.
