I used two hardwoods for this wood art box, Red Oak and Mahogany. I designed and crafted the "Radiance" jewelry or memory box in my Adirondack New York woodshop using a multi-step finishing process with woods mostly harvested from my own property. Each piece is hand-rubbed using Tung Oil to bring out the natural wood color and grain in a process that provides a natural finish with no added stains or colors. This box is a simple modern look because of its sophisticated design and attention to detail, highlighted with the striking Red Oak with Mahogany accents. Radiance measures 11.5 inches long x 4 inches high x 6.5 inches wide. I lined this box with red felt though you can request other colors for your compartment or velvet.
