I like the size and the price
This is my second one in two years. I have a Mac which limits options. I like the size and the price. Batteries will last a long time. On my previous one the mouse died and though the keyboard still worked fine, the letters had worn off of many of the keys (hence the four star rating).

Great price; but you get what you pay for
Very disappointing, in that one the one hand the product has a hard-to-find combination of price, features and portability (especially that it's dimensions allow it to fit easily into a laptop bag), but on the other hand it has a deal-breaker quality flaw. Specifically, there are a couple of the bigger keys -- particularly the left Shift key -- that work fine if you press directly in the middle, but get stuck if you press at either the right or left edge. This is an annoyance even if you're hunt-and-pecking, but if you're doing "real" typing, e.g., dealing with a fair amount of emails and presentation creation, it's intolerable. I initially thought/hoped I had simply received a bad unit, so I returned it and was sent a replacement.....and the replacement had the exact same problem. This issue is bad enough that I could have given the product one star; but because the overall features and look/feel are pretty good, I compromised with two stars. While I'm at it, I'll mention a couple other things that I would have been willing to look past if the above issue did not exist, but that add to the whole quality problem. One is that my first ordered unit had a big patch in the top left area that looked like the finish had been rubbed off, or not completely applied to begin with. Surprisingly (or maybe not so surprisingly), the second had the exact same patch. This has no impact on the functionality, but is an odd flaw that indicates something is amiss in the production process. Two (and more critically), the space bar is extra short, and it's easy to miss with your right thumb (which is the thumb many (most?) people use for the space bar) if you're typing rapidly. While I realize that something has to give in order to achieve the narrower width of the overall unit for portability, the question is why on earth did they need to include right AND left side Windows keys? To have even one is largely superfluous, but two is a silly waste of space, especially at the sacrifice of space-bar length. Finally, there is something I'd read in a couple reviews before I bought the product, but didn't fully appreciate until using it, which is that it lacks a set of volume buttons. While not a gigantic deal, like the other reviewers I miss that feature more than I thought I would.Bottom line, I am now returning this product AGAIN, and I'll not be re-ordering it or buying anything else by Gear Head.

Highly portable, cost effective KBD & Mouse
I bought one of these (from a different place) one year ago, and I've used it quite a bit. It's small enough to pack it in my laptop case for travel. I dropped it and chipped the plastic, but that had no detrimental effects on functionality. The mouse is a bit small, but that's a compromise, it's easier to pack. The keyboard layout is intuitive, none of those mini-keys your fingers can't actually press. Keys are where I expect them.So I use it with my laptop. The laptop sits on a table with the screen in best viewing position, and this keyboard sits on my lap. The mouse is beside me on the arm of the sofa. (Right now, I am using my Gearhead Mini to type this review.)Very comfortable arrangement, and the keyboard and mouse have been flawless.I'm buying another today from Amazon, for different computer, so I don't have to move my first one around.Excellent product.

great product great price
i have had alot of wireless keyboards, i do alot of mmo gaming, and typing. keyboard is compact and has number pad on right side, mixed on letters. only thing i would add is dots on the letters for number pad so it feels like one, but response of mouse and board is perfect even at 15-30 feet. compatible with ps3 as well if you require portability and ease of use this is it !!

Great Keyboard, Horrible mouse
The keyboard is good. I use it for my Home Theater PC connected to a TV. The range is decent and I like its small size which doesn't make it akward to have in the living room (compared to a full size keyboard). The mouse, however is cheaply made and the wireless range is really bad, less then a meter. I just can't use it unless the receiver is just beside the mouse on a desk. So I need to buy another mouse and have two USB receivers... which I was trying to avoid with this purchase.

Would buy again
This is my second one. I got another because my other one started to so visual signs of age after 10 years.

good but small mouse, spongy keys
It's actually a nice little set for a great price, but I found the mouse small so I was gripping it with my fingertips. It was also sloped forward in a way so it always felt like your fingers were going to slip right off the front. The keys feel like there's a sponge under them, just not a nice decisive, responsive feel. Not something I'd want to do a lot of fast typing on. Too bad, otherwise it was just right.

Small enough but key size bothers some.
I wanted a smaller footprint keyboard. This certainly fills the bill, but key size and placement bothers me a bit. Right side shift key is small, and delete has been hard to find. Otherwise it's fine. Mouse powers off when left unattended for a bit, but just a touch turns it on again.
