JENSEN CD-785 Bluetooth Portable CD Music System with Cassette Player and AM/FM Radio, CD-785

So let me start of by saying I bought this stereo because of wanting to collect CDs again. I was born in the 90s so CDs were a crucial part of my childhood and there was just always something about listening to your favorite music this way. It truly makes me feel like a kid again to own this type of stereo. but even better than that, it’s not only got a cassette tape player too, but also equipped with standard AM/FM radio, Bluetooth and Auxiliary cable support. Pros: Sound The sound is EXACTLY what I was wanting out of this thing. If I could explain what it sounds like to listen to music through speakers that sounds like you’re still in the early 2000s but with great quality that’s exactly what this does for me. Very clean and crisp, and quite loud too. Color The color is nice. Very reminiscent of early 2000s to late 2000s stereos which was another intention of purchasing. The screen is nice and simple that adds to the nostalgia for me. Audio playback capability The amount of audio playback capability you get is a huge plus. I’m not sure if I’ll ever use the cassette player but I’m super happy it has one. The am/fm radio is obviously nice too, and the fact that I have the option to use Bluetooth or Auxiliary is pretty sweet too. I should also mention it’s even got a headphone jack if you want to use headphones on that for some reason and the added remote to use the stereo while laying down in bed or anything is super convenient too. Portability and light It’s definitely light weight and portable, with the ability to use batteries to power it for on the go usage. Comes with a standard cable for indoor power as expected. If you didn’t realize already too, it’s got removable speakers for your positioning needs! Overall quality of the unit It doesn’t feel super cheap, and honestly if you can remember how stereos you’d buy at Walmart that were on the higher end spectrum this is exactly what it reminds me of. The buttons on the unit are pretty clicky and feel good for what it’s worth. Cons: Price point For just shy of 90 dollars, I think it’s ever so slightly high priced for what it is, but at the same time.. the investment is worth it because I couldn’t really find any other unit of this caliber at any price point that’s close to this one. They were all much higher so I guess it makes sense for what it includes. Remote I think the remote could be ever so slightly better. Feels flimsy and it’s not the most responsive at times, but doesn’t take away the general functionality and convenience it has. I think that’s really all I have for the “cons” if you can even call it that. 10/10 would recommend this for anyone trying to re-live their past like I wanted to 😎

Sure it works, but it's absolute garbage if you actually care about the quality of your music. Every CD I've ever played on this thing skips the last few seconds of every track, which is incredibly annoying when all your favorite albums have seamless transitions, and then I try to get cassettes to resolve this issue and it plays cassettes too fast making them sound like nightcore edits. The only reasonable option is playing the music i want to listen to as flacs on my phone connected to the stereo via bluetooth, but at this point though with the CD and cassette players not working properly, this is just a glorified bluetooth speaker and for what, $120 when it's not on sale? Just save yourself the trouble and buy a normal bluetooth speaker for way cheaper. I can't even return this now, it feels like a total scam. update: after a year and a half the CD reader is completely broken from ordinary occasional use. I'm making this update to trash on the piss poor longevity of this device on top of everything else. dont buy this.

I love the retro, but if you lose power for 1 second, you lose all stored radio stations, and the digital read out is too dim to see. Also the blue tooth function is MUCH quieter than the other functions.

This stereo is great, especially for the price. I wanted an American made stereo that I knew would last me, and this fit into my budget and works great. Tapes, CDs Bluetooth aux and am/fm, and I can plug my record player into it if I want as well. It looks slick on my shelf, has good weight to it, solid build quality and it sounds very good considering most American made stereo systems are around $300 which I couldn't afford at the time. I had never heard of Jensen before but I will look to them next time Im browsing electronics

Speakers lack quality sound. Disappointing for a quality brand. Used speakers from 20yo boom box. Much Better Sound Quality.

I Absolutely love how this little stereo sounds ! And how it looks ! I been looking for a little ole school stereo . They are fading away. I had a big heavy one that sounded soooo Amazing but after over two decades it wore out ! I also have another big ole school stereo in my living room that's sounds very Good too but I wanted a smaller nice sounding one with nice speakers for my kitchen And also for back up incase my other ole school stereo plays out ! I kept digging around and found this one ! I'm very happy with it ! I love how it can play bluetooth, cds , radio and yes even cassettes ! And that you can leave the speakers on or slide the speakers off and spread them apart for an even wider sound . Comes with a handle and its not too heavy or too light. Ohhh my goodness! I love it !

Basic device that works well and makes a good addition to any garage to get your tunes going while you work. Price is OK and volume is sufficient for normal spaces.

Works just as described and out of the box. Was easy to set up and the instructions were easy to follow. It has radio, tape deck, CD player, Bluetooth, headphone jack, AUX IN which allows you to connect to another device, ie. Cell phone or MP3 player, etc. It has warm deep sound that you don't often get from boom boxes. The best thing about it, it has a remote for some functions.

Absolutely RUBBISH product. The CD does not work, nether the Cassettes can be played satisfactorily (with too much Hissing Sound). Do not waste money purchasing this product.

O som é bom, mas poderia ter mais grave, especialmente porque é descrito como boombox.

Tuve que devolverla por 3 motivos importantes que me decepcionaron: 1.- Nunca se comió las cintas (ese es buen punto) PERO obviamente me enviaron con defecto: La velocidad de la cassettera era inestable: algo rápida y a veces lenta al tocar cualquier cassette. 2.-La música en la cassetera se escuchaba algo temblorosa. 3.- Por el tamaño (50 cms de largo) y la marca imagine que tendría buen sonido pero no fue asi : Un buen sonido no es igual a que solo tenga potencia,debe estar bien ecualizado en graves y agudos.Aunque tiene buenos graves aún sin el botón de Bass,al oprimirlo sí da más potencia,PERO no tiene nitidez en agudos,eso le hace falta por lo que se escuchaba como si cubriera las bocinas con una almohada o,como si grabaras música varias veces en un mismo cassette que no es re-grabable ¿me entiendes?…como un cassette re grabado de mala calidad y los cd’s también se escuchaban así. No sé si los mismos modelos de este micro componente se escuchen así…mal en cuestión al sonido y también pensé que las bocinas venían con defecto. Y si este micro componente suena así de mal,entonces no vale lo que cuesta.Hay mejores boombox y micro componentes que este,de verdad pero,¿como encontrar el indicado? ya me resulta un fastidio.He devuelto 2 de otras marcas que se comíeron las cintas y arruinaron 5 cassettes originales,fue algo que me molestó mucho y este Jensen con defecto en la cassettera que ya mencioné.

I've seen a few bad reviews on this one, and I have to say that so far I haven't had any issues. All functions work as expected.. CD/Radio/cassette player. Sound quality is actually better than I expected for this bargain brand. Overall I am quite satisfied with this purchase.
