Dee Zee DZ16336 NXt Mounting Bracket

Make sure you get this correct bracket kit for the DZ16121 oval Ultra black nerf bar step . BUT go to your local auto parts store and order the bracket kit. That way they are responsible for it. Sorry Amazon but that's the way it is, although it is not your fault. I ordered both the Nerf bar step and the bracket kit from Amazon. This Nerf bar kit arrived just fine, but the MANUFACTURER does not package the bracket kit well enough. It is very heavy, and has literally dozens of steel parts in it. My box arrived damaged, and opened on one end. I had to send it back. You don't want to be in the middle of installing something like this and discover you are missing parts. It was not a fluke either, the box was poorly taped and the cardboard incapable of handling the weight of the steel parts.

2019 ram 2500 crew cab. Installed perfectly. Rivnuts seemed like they would be a pain but they’re incredibly easy to do. I kept my rivnut tool greased liberally and it worked perfectly. NXt boards are rock solid on the truck after using this hardware pack to install them. The rivnuts are aluminum and the hardware is grade 10.9 so I made sure not to overtorque the bolts going into the rivnuts and I applied a little bit of anti seize to prevent galling. The other bolts have nuts and I used blue locktite on all hardware that had bolts and nuts.

The included nutserts strip/spin on 2015 Ram 1500. Was unable to install with provided hardware. Dee Zee customer claim website is broken. DeeZee phone support staff was unable to provide remedy. Had to buy Mopar hardware at extra cost to install the Running Board brackets…

These worked perfectly for my 15 Ram 1500. Everything fit perfectly. 2 items I'll mention. The hex shape anchors round off quickly forcing you to used the nut with the barings. It was also much tuffer to expand the anchors than I expected. All parts were present and instructions were easy to follow.

This was for a 2014 Ram 3500 crewcab.packaging was poor, all bracket were loose in a box with no individual wrapping and nothing to keep them from banging into each other, so the nice paint was chipped.Instructions for installing Nutserts were wrong, going to the torque spec broke the insert tool.The nutplate design is poor, it is only slightly larger than the hole it goes behind, so it is likely to pull through.The corner reinforcement brackets, that goes to the holes in the rocker panel lip, well the holes don't line up on the center hole set.So though the workmanship was good, every other step was a mess. I wasted may hours trying to make this work before it went back.

Went right on without any problems. Good kit.

the nut inserts that came with the bracket kit appear to be cheap aluminum that did not fit tightly in the hex holes of my 2014 Dodge Ram 2500. when I used the cheap tool(8mm bolt, two plastic washers and a set of roller bearings) provided by deezee, many of the inserts got rounded off and just spun without tightening. had to purchase the proper tool online for tightening nut inserts for $30. deezee should include the proper tool even if it means raising the price of the kit!

From start to finish they only took a hour to install . Well made and fit my 2020 Dodge Ram Classic crew cab perfectly

All brackets were loose, with no individual wrapping and nothing to keep them from banging into each other, so the paint (aka rust protection) was chipped. On a positive note the return is super easy.
