Very Much a Personal Speaker
When I present at conferences--I take my Bose speaker because it fills the room. When I want a cute speaker to play music while I work in my home office, I use this one. It's just right for that. The music quality is good for the instrumental kind of music I listen to. It's not going to amaze you with its volume and bass, but neither is it shallow and tinny. I wanted dedicated speaker to stay on my desk and look old-fashioned to go with my books and candles and rocks and keep me company while I work. It's absolutely perfect for that. It does a great job of playing music for one normal-sized room. It's also small and very portable, if that's your thing. The battery lasts quite a long time. I don't have to charge it very often. The radio picks up fine for me, and it's fun to play classical and 1930s music on this speaker. Just don't expect it to be a party speaker.

Good little radio
I am of 2 minds on this little speaker/receiver so I will break this down point form-SUPER CUTE! Love the look of this device, fits perfectly with my kitchen theme.-Build quality is good, super solid though the volume and mode knobs are plastic the tuning dial is metal, the "wood" is an overlaid composite but that's fine by me, nothing rattles or feels cheap.-Radio reception is superb, picking up stations I wouldn't normally get (apartment) and I can carry it throughout my living space with little to no signal loss.-SOUND (this is where things get dicey) So, on Radio mode the sound quality is awesome, volume is set at maaayybe 10% and loud enough that I can hear it in other rooms but not overbearing (note to check the volume level before initial use, scared the heck out of me) it sounds like a radio which is really what I wanted it for.I tested it in AUX mode with my player and OMG what an awful awful awful sound presentation, there is absolutely no bass, none, which surprised me because it doesn't sound that crappy in radio mode. Volume control is weird, I have to set the volume high (35) on my player and turn the dial to about 75% on the unit to get decent volume, I am guessing this ties into the garbage response from the speaker, I will probably have to find the "sweet spot" in regards to the two adjustments to help with the ugly sound, it's the same speaker so there must be a way .....Other modes- I haven't tried he TF card option yet but I will note that if you want to play from TF card you can only control from the rear with a Play or Skip option only so you might want to set up your playlist prior to use, it must be set to BT for TF function. I won't be using the BT option at all as I have no need for that.Fun but useless Fact- When you switch to either BT mode or AUX mode the device tells you in a pleasantly electronic voice what mode you're in.Overall I am happy-ish with my purchase, I wanted a kitchen radio that I could put anywhere, didn't need to be plugged in, fit with my decor and took up very minimal space and this device hit all those requirements well, I really don't think it's a good value for the $ based on the fact that so far the other functions are disappointing at best. I will be keeping it mainly for the aesthetics, looking at it makes me happy and that is enough to convince me but do wish it was priced to performance.
