I have a v3.0 how do I access the battery?

Thanks for your question. Turn the calculator over and see that there are four small screws. Using a small screwdriver, remove the two screws under the hinge. Then, using a blunt edge instrument such as a letter opener or butter knife, slide it between the top and bottom and pop the clips around both sides and the bottom. I see on the calculated industries web site that they are shipping the v3.1 model. Is this the same newest model or is it an older version?

mine says Model 44080 v3.1...i assume this is the latest model.

No problems at all, this is the big version of the small one. This is more for office use. The smaller one is more for the filed.

Description says it does full metric but one of the reviews says it will not convert mm. Can somebody confirm?

It converts to mm (and cm and m), in linear, area or cubic. Look above the #9 key in photo. The keystroke to convert a displayed value from another unit to mm is simply [Conv] 9 To directly enter a mm value, you hit value e.g., 123 [Conv] 9. Hope that helps.
