I have been searching for good practice mutes for years so I can play fairly comfortably in my New York City apartment late at night. This could possibly fit on some bridges, but my bridge is too arched for it to fit as designed. In my view, it's a poor design needing better machining, with a rounded groove in the center - the line is perfectly straight. Who has a bridge without a curve? That said, I am using half of it (1/2 sticking off the end) paired with another practice mute. 1 star for each tooth of the mute that I'm using.
