Borderline needs an update
The ps5 version is better then the ps4 version however in terms of an offline game the game does technically work offline without an update no internet however if you reconnect to the internet the game will force you to update even if you turn off the internet again it will force the update why I don’t know unfortunately I would recommend updating it there is way more content in the updated version

Not worth it
Got this for my then 9 and 5 year old. Both kids said the game was trash and you couldn’t really do much. We thought the game would be so much better than basic level routes. Wouldn’t recommend if your kid loves marvel.
