The Story of Civilization: VOLUME I - The Ancient World Paperback – Illustrated, May 10, 2016

My children love this series! We use it for our homeschool and the kids follow along with the audiobook, which is also really well done! Would 100% recommend!

I purchased the textbook and audio of Volume 1 for my 1st grader, and he LOVED it! I turned the audio into a Yoto card for him, and he listens to it all of the time! It’s written in narrative format, so it is very engaging (both for me and my son). The audio is top notch!It is probably intended to be used as a history spine, but it would also just interesting if your child likes history.

We use this book for homeschooling history and my daughter (8) loves it. The stories within the chapters are her favorite part. I feel like this is a great read aloud now and we’ll be able to use it again as she matures in reading level. The audio version is great too!

My 11 year old read the book for pleasure. He loved the book. He loved the series!

This is our favorite homeschool history series!

The history dates are from the beginning including biblical references. Great format & easy to work with my dyslexic kid or even younger children. The book offers audible as an extra option. The answer key is in the back & All text questions are T/F or multiple choice.Starting Book 2 next semester.

Good content, but the purchase of new books is not brand new, there are some regrets.

Great history CD. Very well done, educational and entertaining. We listened in the car on a long trip for the kids. My husband loved it so much, he kept wanting to put it on. I would definitely recommend. I liked it so much that I bought the next set of CDs covering the Medieval World.
