A History of Asia 8th Edition

I was assigned this textbook for my general history of Asia class. The content of the book is very interesting which makes excessive reading assignments slightly easier. However, the writing style of the content is very wordy, hard to follow, and often has sentences that are much too long. I find myself needing to reread some sentences several times over because the phrase is so long, wordy, and filled with commas. This is an extremely thorough textbook, but I would not choose this book if I wanted to casually learn more about Asia.
