Q: Can regular polish be used with the top coat for the same effect?

Yes !!! Essie only regular polish. It works like a magic .

Q: Can I use this topcoat with other polishes?

I used this for the first time over OPI nail lacquer and lap swam in a pool a couple of times and several other vigorous activities and my polish has lasted over 2 weeks. I’m blown away! Going to keep trying with other polishes I have.

Q: Is this product made to use with uv light ?

No, this is to be used without UV.

Q: It's hard to tell by the photos. Are any of these, pearlescent?
