Exactly as described, and it got here fast. I needed this sheet of leather to use to cut out some washers for a friend's easel that was slipping, and it worked perfectly. The quality of this leather is overkill for this application, but I still have most of it left and will probably find a use for it. It is nice. You can cut it easily with a good pair of scissors, but it's still very durable.

Very nice leather which cut well in my laser cutter. I made a raven hair pin with it as my first project. Hard to see in photos of all black items but the details cut out nicely. The leather is a great thickness for the hair pin too. Not too thick so you can manipulate it but not thin enough to be be flimsy. All I had to do to get it to lay flat in my laser cutter was work it the opposite way from how it was rolled and it laid perfectly flat, Will purchase again. Very pleased.

veggie tan leather, I use it to sharpen my carving knives, the type of leather does a really good job. I would highly recommend it to anybody that’s into carving.

I needed to make vest extenders for the side of my vest, since more layers in winter time is necessary on a motorcycle, and I didn’t have any room to spare once zipped up. These sheets are very soft/flexible. I had no issue cutting or getting grommets into it. It held up very well during an 8 hour ride/2 day trip that included lots of rain, and I have zero concern that it will give me any issue going forward. It’s not super shiny, so it doesn’t look cheap to me. What I would consider the “inside” is soft; I’m unsure if it transfers color, since I wore it with dark clothes (my red shirt was fine). My vest is already very worn and broken in, so it’s not concerning to me, but I can see how it would show marks easily, especially on brown…but I got black, so don’t take my word for it. (My video is after the 8 hour ride&weekend in the rain. I rubbed it to show no transfer. Scratched it with my nail, then wiped off the mark it made.)

Actually I use for my pool heater so the front temp plate remains readable, I replace every couple of months, and the sun doesn't get to destroy it.

It keeps staining every surface it comes in contact with. So, so much black dye everywhere.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I have a small leather project so I picked a small sheet of the leather to avoid the expense and storage of a side of leather. The quality of this leather appears very nice. The grain side is very smooth and the flesh side is nicely finished. The sheet is flexible and should work for my intentions of an unique instrument case handle. It comes rolled up inside a plastic film, so I would remove the packaging to allow the leather to breathe and lay it out flat until it relaxes to making working with easier.

good leather, works well for tooling. I purchased this leather for tooling wallets, however it had a very strong smell, and I had to air it out. not sure if this is from the packaging, or why it smells like this, but it worked well for my projects.
