Replacement 2.0M Inline Mute Cable for Astro A40 / Astro A40 Inline or Console Cable by ienza®

My son has a set of expensive Astro A40 headphones and 3 little brothers... you do the math. When they damaged his original cord we found this as a replacement and took a chance on the cheaper option (as apposed to the manufacturer's which is twice the price). These were shipped quickly and they work like a charm! The plugs are solid and the cable is sturdy. We use it with the PS4 with no problems at all. Thanks!

I have the Astro 2.0M A40 INLINE MUTE CABLE which works great but saw this had a dial for volume control. Went ahead and ordered this cable and it works as advertised. Currently using to play with my PSVR and is working perfectly. Will be using this cable and my main and keep the Astro cable as an extra. I definitely recommend this product.

I had this for a month now and the wire is already breaking apart from the volume bottom. But it's still working. And i was using it for other use and not just sitting down doing casual gaming with the wire/headset. Still.... hard to complain about it when I think of the price I paid and save compare to the $40 Astro price! Totally Recommend if only you are broke or just don't want to spend the money.

I ordered this because I bought the Astro Mixamp and it didn't come in an inline mute cord, I hate not being able to mute my mic, I have two small dogs and play more than 3+ hours a day. I was skeptical buying from a brand that I didn't know but it was cheap and needed so I went for it. Was definitely what I needed but there's a small buzz noise I didn't have before, I adjust the volume and it goes away for a minute. Not loud just enough to be noticable, can't say I didn't see it coming because of it being from an unknown to me brand and how cheap it was. Edit: Anyways I'm just ordering from Astros website, it's $10 plus shipping but this buzzing has gotten worse.

Totally works. Bought a couple chords prior, in attempt to lengthen distance from amp and also retain sound quality. The other chords wouldn't allow other players to hear me. Something technical about how many notches on plug. Either way, this one is perfect, great sound and zero problems with people hearing me

Took a chance buying this as opposed to the $40 ASTROS cord for my 240's. It glitched out the first few times I used it, and the wires started slipping out of the volume control box, but I taped them and now it seems to work fine. Friends say they hear me very clear and I can hear them. There is no separate chat/game volume control though, which is really annoying sometimes, but doable. I like the little mute switch, comes in handy. Update: original cord is now fully unusable. Bought another one this week and it didn't work straight out of the package. Players (PS4) can't hear me, but I can hear them. Returning ASAP.

Works great, perfect length and the in line mute is so handy for when family is over, but u just want to talk to friends.

The cable worked very well for the 4 days that it worked. All game sound stopped and only one ear works for chat. Terrible cable. Do not buy if you have the chance to purchase the one sold by Astro gaming.

If your looking to replace your headset cable for your Astro’s then this cord is just fine. It does exactly the same thing as the original Astro cable and is half the price as the original. The cable is longer as well which may come in handy. I don’t have anything negetive to say it does what it’s intended for and it’s strong and built in my opinion better then the original Astro cable

The initial cable that I purchased was defective. I was immediately offered a replacement with no need to send back the defective one. The replacement worked perfectly! I'm extremely happy with the purchase and the excellent customer service.
