This is an excellent monitor. But you need to calibrate it to get the best image.
I bought the 32inch curved display and so far I'm very happy with it. Many have said that the picture looks washed out, but this is likely because they haven't set it up properly as out of the box, it doesn't look great. But with a few tweaks, it looks great! This thing does 10bit colour, so if you're a photographer or videographer on a budget this is one to look at. Unfortunately, id doesn't do HDR. But if you can afford the equipment needed to shoot in HDR, you can probably afford an HDR monitor to go with it. So to help out those who aren't happy with their image quality, here are my custom profile settings: Brightness 40, Contrast 25, Sharpness 55, Color Red 70, Green 80, Blue 70, Gamma Mode3, Upscale off, Eye Saver off, Game mode off, Res Time Fastest, Picture Size Auto. The other thing to consider is Display port or HDMI; Display port is better. It has a higher bandwidth than HDMI and allows you to run the screen at 60Hz. HDMI s maximum is 30Hz. As I said, the screen is not HDR because the brightness is limited. But if you want 10bit colour and HDR, you'll need to pay several times what this monitor costs. I hope that you all find this review useful.

Washed out colours (compared to other VA), wobbly stand, all in all it's nothing special
Coming from a Dell S3221QS returned for some defects I bought this one because the Dell was out of stock. It looked like had similar specs, so I said why not...Unfortunately, despite the higher price, this Samsung U32R59C is not as good at the Dell S3221QS:The colours are more washed out and less vibrant. The colour settings are not that many and nothing makes a big difference. They are not bad... just boringPixel response time is marginally better though, so moving windows across, and by extension, gaming, will be slighly better, however the lack of g-sync makes it a poor choice for budget gaming anyway. The stand. HOLY potatoes this stand wobbles!! Every keystroke a wobble, every elbow leaning on the desk, a wobble, every heavy truck passing by, a wobble. What were they thinking when they designed it??Things to really consider and remember, even if you did read the datasheetAlso, remember that there is NO VESA mount, it's some propretary attach that looks like a smaller VESA, but if you want to use your own bracket, tough luck. Also, it is not height adjustable and I found it that it sits too high for comfortable office use (compared, again, to the Dell, which can be lowered to pretty much touch the base). Also, it's a few centimeters closer to your face because the monitor sort of sits more away from the stand, so if you have a small desk (<60cm depth), you may find it uncomfortably close to your nose.Having said that, it's not bad, and for the price, there are not many 32"4k displays around, especially due to the general shortage. The design is nice and you may want to use it as a secondary TV you don't use regularly (with an Amazon fire stick or google TV attached to it), but I would look elsewhere if you are looking for a productivity/office/cinema/entertainment monitor.

Only one mode looks decent when using with a PC/Laptop
I was very excited to finally get a 4HD monitor, and having invested in a great cable to ensure a 60hz output at 3840x2160 expected a fantastic visual experience.4 hours later of trying every permutation of setting on the monitor, the best mode I could achieve looks exactly like a standard HD monitor at half the price. All the other combination are washed out and too bright. You have to put the "SamsungMagic" angle into "Standing Mode" (even though you are not standing), put eco-mode on low, and ramp your contrast setting to maximum for the picture to reach what I would consider acceptable. For maximum LOLS, this monitor comes with a CD with drivers on it, like it's 2006. I was able to download a driver for the monitor, but it gives you nothing above the generic PnP driver.

Display would flicker off periodically on my macbook pro m1 16"
This seemed like it was going to be a great display for my needs as a second monitor for work. I'm a developer so nice to have a lot of screen area for open windows. Display was crisp and clear at 4k resolution but after about a day or so the display starting blinking off and then on again as if someone had unplugged the hdmi cable. Sometimes it would blink off a few times in 10 minutes. Other times it seemed to be hours between it blinking off. Tried everything I could think of including messing with the power saving settings on the monitor and my mac. Nothing worked or seemed to correlated to the display blinking off. Spent about an hour with Samsung support and they were not able to help either. Also tried a different hdmi cable than the one that came with the monitor. That seemed to manifest a different behavior where every 60 seconds there was a flash on the monitor. Another strange thing is that sometimes when I would plug the monitor into my macbook pro it would show 60hz refresh rate under settings. Other times it only showed 30hz and lower. After a few days of struggling to figure out if there was anything I could do to make the monitor work correctly I gave up and ended up returning it to amazon. In the end not sure if I got a defective monitor or this monitor model just doesn't work well with a macbook pro.
